The equivalence principle postulates a frame. This implies globally special and locally general relativity. It is proposed here that spacetime emerges from the gauge potential of translations, whilst the Lorenz symmetry is gauged into the interactions of the particle sector. This is, though more intuitive, the opposite to the standard formulation of gravity, and seems to lead to conceptual and technical improvements of the theory.

The simultaneity framework describes the relativistic interaction of time with space. The two major proposed simultaneity frameworks are differential simultaneity, in which time is offset with distance in moving or rotating frames for each stationary observer, and absolute simultaneity, in which time is not offset with distance. We use the Mansouri and Sexl test theory to analyze the simultaneity framework in rotating frames in the absence of spacetime curvature. The Mansouri and Sexl test theory has four parameters. Three parameters describe relativistic effects. The fourth parameter, $epsilon (v)$, was described as a convention on clock synchronization. We show that $epsilon (v)$ is not a convention, but is instead a descriptor of the simultaneity framework whose value can be determined from the extent of anisotropy in the unidirectional one-way speed of light. In rotating frames, one-way light speed anisotropy is described by the Sagnac effect equation. We show that four published Sagnac equations form a relativistic series based on relativistic kinematics and simultaneity framework. Only the conventional Sagnac effect equation, and its associated isotropic two-way speed of light, is found to match high-resolution optical data. Using the conventional Sagnac effect equation, we show that $epsilon (v)$ has a null value in rotating frames, which implies absolute simultaneity. Introducing the empirical Mansouri and Sexl parameter values into the test theory equations generates the rotational form of the absolute Lorentz transformation, implying that this transformation accurately describes rotational relativistic effects.
We have mooted a new charged scalar field theory using a doublet of the Galileon scalar field instead of the usual Klein Gordon real scalar fields. Our model for the charged scalar field have a few remarkable properties like Poincare invariance , Abe lian gauge symmetry and shift symmetries. The existence of two independent gauge symmetries is a welcome news for fracton physics.Whereas phase rotation in $phi$ space leads to the conservation of electric charge , the additional symmetries correspond to the conservation of a scalar charge and a vector charge. The system is shown to resemble matter in the fracton phase. Consequently, the results in this letter have immense possibilities in fracton physics.

This paper is a follow-up work of the previous study of the generalized abelian gauge field theory under rotor model of order $n$ of higher order derivatives. We will study the quantization of this theory using path integral approach and find out the Feynman propagator (2-point correlation function) of this generalized theory. We also investigate the generalized Proca action under rotor model and derive the Feynman propagator for the massive case.

Gauge field theory with rank-one field $T_{mu}$ is a quantum field theory that describes the interaction of elementary spin-1 particles, of which being massless to preserve gauge symmetry. In this paper, we give a generalized, extended study of abeli an gauge field theory under successive rotor model in general $D$-dimensional flat spacetime for spin-1 particles in the context of higher order derivatives. We establish a theorem that $n$ rotor contributes to the $Box^n T^{mu}$ fields in the integration-by-parts formalism of the action. This corresponds to the transformation of gauge field $T^{mu} rightarrow Box^n T^{mu}$ and gauge field strength $G_{mu u}rightarrow Box^n G_{mu u} $ in the action. The $n=0$ case restores back to the standard abelian gauge field theory. The equation of motion and Noethers conserved current of the theory are also studied.

The global conformal gauge is playing the crucial role in string theory providing the basis for quantization. Its existence for two-dimensional Lorentzian metric is known locally for a long time. We prove that if a Lorentzian metric is given on a pla in then the conformal gauge exists globally on the whole ${mathbb R}^2$. Moreover, we prove the existence of the conformal gauge globally on the whole worldsheets represented by infinite strips with straight boundaries for open and closed bosonic strings. The global existence of the conformal gauge on the whole plane is also proved for the positive definite Riemannian metric.
