This paper presents some observations and ideas collected during the tests of the SOI sensors, based on the integration type pixels. First, it contains a rough analysis of the Correlated Double Sampling filtering properties with respect to different noise sources and long sampling intervals, which are typical for the pixels under consideration. Second, results of the pixel leakage current measurements in the pix_2012 and DIPIX pixel detector chips are presented.
In the last years, high-resolution time tagging has emerged as the tool to tackle the problem of high-track density in the detectors of the next generation of experiments at particle colliders. Time resolutions below 50ps and event average repetition
The physics of strong interactions is undoubtedly one of the most challenging areas of modern science. The PANDA experiment will be devoted to charmonium spectroscopy, gluonic excitations (hybrids, glueballs), open and hidden charm in nuclei, gamma-r
The tracking detector of ATLAS, one of the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), will be upgraded in 2024-2026 to cope with the challenging environment conditions of the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). The LPNHE, in collaboration with FBK and
A wide range of nucleon and nuclear structure experiments in Jefferson Labs Hall A require precise, continuous measurements of the polarization of the electron beam. In our Compton polarimeter, electrons are scattered off photons in a Fabry-Perot cav
CMOS Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS) are proposed as a technology for various vertex detectors in nuclear and particle physics. We discuss the mechanisms of ionizing radiation damage on MAPS hosting the the dead time free, so-called self bias
