In this paper, we investigate in some detail the holographic ferromagnetic phase transition in an AdS${_4}$ black brane background by introducing a massive 2-form field coupled to the Maxwell field strength in the bulk. In the two probe limits, one is to neglect the back reaction of the 2-form field to the background geometry and to the Maxwell field, and the other to neglect the back reaction of both the Maxwell field and the 2-form field, we find that the spontaneous magnetization and the ferromagnetic phase transition always happen when the temperature gets low enough with similar critical behavior. We calculate the DC resistivity in a semi-analytical method in the second probe limit and find it behaves as the colossal magnetic resistance effect in some materials. In the case with the first probe limit, we obtain the off-shell free energy of the holographic model near the critical temperature and compare with the Ising-like model. We also study the back reaction effect and find that the phase transition is always second order. In addition, we find an analytical Reissner-Norstrom-like black brane solution in the Einstein-Maxwell-2-form field theory with a negative cosmological constant.

We show that our Universe lives in a topological and non-perturbative vacuum state full of a large amount of hidden quantum hairs, the hairons. We will discuss and elaborate on theoretical evidences that the quantum hairs are related to the gravitati onal topological winding number in vacuo. Thus, hairons are originated from topological degrees of freedom, holographically stored in the de Sitter area. The hierarchy of the Planck scale over the Cosmological Constant (CC) is understood as an effect of a Topological Memory intrinsically stored in the space-time geometry. Any UV quantum destabilizations of the CC are re-interpreted as Topological Phase Transitions, related to the desapparence of a large ensamble of topological hairs. This process is entropically suppressed, as a tunneling probability from the N- to the 0-states. Therefore, the tiny CC in our Universe is a manifestation of the rich topological structure of the space-time. In this portrait, a tiny neutrino mass can be generated by quantum gravity anomalies and accommodated into a large N-vacuum state. We will re-interpret the CC stabilization from the point of view of Topological Quantum Computing. An exponential degeneracy of topological hairs non-locally protects the space-time memory from quantum fluctuations as in Topological Quantum Computers.
We study the holographic superconductor-normal metal-superconductor (SNS) Josephon junction in the massive gravity. In the homogeneous case of the chemical potential, we find that the graviton mass will make the normal metal-superconductor phase tran sition harder to take place. In the holographic model of Josephson junction, it is found that the maximal tunneling current will decrease according to the graviton mass. Besides, the coherence length of the junction decreases as well with respect to the graviton mass. If one interprets the graviton mass as the effect of momentum dissipation in the boundary field theory, it indicates that the stronger the momentum dissipation is, the smaller the coherence length is.

In the $SO(2,d)$ gauge theory formalism of AdS gravity established in arXiv:1811.05286, the dynamics of bulk gravity is emergent from the vanishing of the boundary covariant anomaly for the $SO(2,d)$ conservation law. Parallel with the known results of chiral anomalies, we establish the descendent structure of the holographic $SO(2,d)$ anomaly. The corresponding anomaly characteristic class, bulk Chern-Simons like action as well as the boundary effective action are constructed systematically. The anomalous conservation law is presented both in terms of the covariant and consistent formalisms. Due to the existence of the ruler field, not only the Bardeen-Zumino polynomial, but also the covariant and consistent currents are explicitly constructed.
Using two different models from holographic quantum chromodynamics (QCD) we study the deconfinement phase transition in $2+1$ dimensions in the presence of a magnetic field. Working in 2+1 dimensions lead us to {sl exact} solutions on the magnetic fi eld, in contrast with the case of 3+1 dimensions where the solutions on the magnetic field are perturbative. As our main result we predict a critical magnetic field $B_c$ where the deconfinement critical temperature vanishes. For weak fields meaning $B<B_c$ we find that the critical temperature decreases with increasing magnetic field indicating an inverse magnetic catalysis (IMC). On the other hand, for strong magnetic fields $B>B_c$ we find that the critical temperature raises with growing field showing a magnetic catalysis (MC). These results for IMC and MC are in agreement with the literature.
We investigate the effect of massive graviton on the holographic thermalization process. Before doing this, we first find out the generalized Vaidya-AdS solutions in the de Rham-Gabadadze-Tolley (dRGT) massive gravity by directly solving the gravitat ional equations. Then, we study the thermodynamics of these Vaidya-AdS solutions by using the Minsner-Sharp energy and unified first law, which also shows that the massive gravity is in a thermodynamic equilibrium state. Moreover, we adopt the two-point correlation function at equal time to explore the thermalization process in the dual field theory, and to see how the graviton mass parameter affects this process from the viewpoint of AdS/CFT correspondence. Our results show that the graviton mass parameter will increase the holographic thermalization process.
