We construct small cylinders for cellular non-symmetric DG-operads over an arbitrary commutative ring by using the basic perturbation lemma from homological algebra. We show that our construction, applied to the A-infinity operad, yields the operad parametrizing A-infinity maps whose linear part is the identity. We also compute some other examples with non-trivial operations in arities 1 and 0.

The purpose of this foundational paper is to introduce various notions and constructions in order to develop the homotopy theory for differential graded operads over any ring. The main new idea is to consider the action of the symmetric groups as par t of the defining structure of an operad and not as the underlying category. We introduce a new dual category of higher cooperads, a new higher bar-cobar adjunction with the category of operads, and a new higher notion of homotopy operads, for which we establish the relevant homotopy properties. For instance, the higher bar-cobar construction provides us with a cofibrant replacement functor for operads over any ring. All these constructions are produced conceptually by applying the curved Koszul duality for colored operads. This paper is a first step toward a new Koszul duality theory for operads, where the action of the symmetric groups is properly taken into account.

Using the description of enriched $infty$-operads as associative algebras in symmetric sequences, we define algebras for enriched $infty$-operads as certain modules in symmetric sequences. For $mathbf{V}$ a nice symmetric monoidal model category, we prove that strict algebras for $Sigma$-cofibrant operads in $mathbf{V}$ are equivalent to algebras in the associated symmetric monoidal $infty$-category in this sense. We also show that $mathcal{O}$-algebras in $mathcal{V}$ can equivalently be described as morphisms of $infty$-operads from $mathcal{O}$ to endomorphism operads of (families of) objects of $mathcal{V}$.

We introduce a category of locally constant $n$-operads which can be considered as the category of higher braided operads. For $n=1,2,infty$ the homotopy category of locally constant $n$-operads is equivalent to the homotopy category of classical non symmetric, braided and symmetric operads correspondingly.
A new hierarchy of operads over the linear spans of $delta$-cliffs, which are some words of integers, is introduced. These operads are intended to be analogues of the operad of permutations, also known as the associative symmetric operad. We obtain o perads whose partial compositions can be described in terms of intervals of the lattice of $delta$-cliffs. These operads are very peculiar in the world of the combinatorial operads since, despite to the relative simplicity for their construction, they are infinitely generated and they have nonquadratic and nonhomogeneous nontrivial relations. We provide a general construction for some of their quotients. We use it to endow the spaces of permutations, $m$-increasing trees, $c$-rectangular paths, and $m$-Dyck paths with operad structures. The operads on $c$-rectangular paths admit, as Koszul duals, operads generalizing the duplicial and triplicial operads.
We develop some aspects of the homological algebra of persistence modules, in both the one-parameter and multi-parameter settings, considered as either sheaves or graded modules. The two theories are different. We consider the graded module and sheaf tensor product and Hom bifunctors as well as their derived functors, Tor and Ext, and give explicit computations for interval modules. We give a classification of injective, projective, and flat interval modules. We state Kunneth theorems and universal coefficient theorems for the homology and cohomology of chain complexes of persistence modules in both the sheaf and graded modules settings and show how these theorems can be applied to persistence modules arising from filtered cell complexes. We also give a Gabriel-Popescu theorem for persistence modules. Finally, we examine categories enriched over persistence modules. We show that the graded module point of view produces a closed symmetric monoidal category that is enriched over itself.
