Coherent photoproduction of two neutral pions on the deuteron and ^3He is calculated. The isoscalar and isovector parts of the elementary photoproduction amplitude was determined by fitting the measured total cross section on protons and neutrons. The dependence of the cross section on the isospin of the target nucleus is discussed.
The photoproduction of a neutral pion on the deuteron is considered in the energy region around the eta threshold, where a bump-like structure was observed at very backward pion angles. Different dynamical aspects which may be responsible for this ph
Evidence has recently been presented for the existence of a dibaryon of mass 2380 MeV/c^2 and width 70 MeV/c^2, which decays strongly into the d pi0 pi0 channel [M. Bashkanov et al., Phys.Rev.Lett. 102 (2009) 052301; P. Adlarson et al., arXiv:1104.01
Precise angular distributions have been measured for the first time for the photoproduction of $pi^{0}$-mesons off neutrons bound in the deuteron. The effects from nuclear Fermi motion have been eliminated by a complete kinematic reconstruction of th
The reaction gamma p -> p pi0 gamma has been measured with the Crystal Ball / TAPS detectors using the energy-tagged photon beam at the electron accelerator facility MAMI-B. Energy and angular differential cross sections for the emitted photon gamma
Photoproduction of neutral pions has been studied with the CBELSA/TAPS detector for photon energies between 0.92 and 1.68~GeV at the electron accelerator ELSA. The beam asymmetry~$Sigma$ has been extracted for $115^circ < theta_{rm c.m.} < 155^circ$
