The heavy-ion fusion reactions with 16O bombarding on 62Ni, 65Cu, 74Ge, 148Nd, 180Hf, 186W, 208Pb, 238U are systematically investigated with the improved quantum molecular dynamics (ImQMD) model. The fusion cross sections at energies near and above the Coulomb barriers can be reasonably well reproduced by using this semi-classical microscopic transport model with the parameter sets SkP* and IQ3a. The dynamical nucleus-nucleus potentials and the influence of Fermi constraint on the fusion process are also studied simultaneously. In addition to the mean field, the Fermi constraint also plays a key role for the reliable description of fusion process and for improving the stability of fragments in heavy-ion collisions.

We studied the complete dynamics of the proton-induced spallation process with the microscopic framework of the Constrained Molecular Dynamics (CoMD) Model. We performed calculations of proton-induced spallation reactions on 181Ta, 208Pb, and 238U ta rgets with the CoMD model and compared the results with a standard two-step approach based on an intranuclear cascade model (INC) followed by a statistical deexcitation model. The calculations were also compared with recent experimental data from the literature. Our calculations showed an overall satisfactory agreement with the experimental data and suggest further improvements in the models. We point out that this CoMD study represents the first complete dynamical description of spallation reactions with a microscopic N-body approach and may lead to advancements in the physics-based modelling of the spallation process.

The properties of the alpha+28Si and 16O+16O molecular states which are embedded in the excited states of 32S and can have an impact on the stellar reactions are investigated using the antisymmetrized molecular dynamics. From the analysis of the clus ter spectroscopic factors, the candidates of alpha+28Si and 16O+16O molecular states are identified close to and above the cluster threshold energies. The calculated properties of the alpha+28Si molecular states are consistent with those reported by the alpha+28Siresonant scattering experiments. On the other hand, the 16O+16O molecular state, which is predicted to be identical to the superdeformation of 32S, is inconsistent with the assignment proposed by an alpha inelastic scattering experiment. Our calculation suggests that the monopole transition from the ground state to the 16O+16O molecular state is rather weak and is not strongly excited by the alpha inelastic scattering.
We present a systematic study of the correlators used experimentally to probe the Chiral Magnetic Effect (CME) using the Anomalous Viscous Fluid Dynamics (AVFD) model in Pb--Pb and Xe--Xe collisions at LHC energies. We find a parametrization that des cribes the dependence of these correlators on the value of the axial current density ($n_5/mathrm{s}$), which dictates the CME signal, and on the parameter that governs the background in these measurements i.e., the percentage of local charge conservation (LCC) within an event. This allows to deduce the values of $n_5/mathrm{s}$ and the LCC percentage that provide a quantitative description of the centrality dependence of the experimental measurements. We find that the results in Xe--Xe collisions at $sqrt{s_{mathrm{NN}}} = 5.44$~TeV are consistent with a background only scenario. On the other hand, the model needs a significant non-zero value of $n_5/mathrm{s}$ to match the measurements in Pb--Pb collisions at $sqrt{s_{mathrm{NN}}} = 5.02$~TeV.

Momentum correlation functions of the nucleon-nucleon pairs are presented for reactions with C isotopes bombarding a $^{12} rm C$ target within the framework of the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model. The binding-energy dependence of the momentum correlation functions is also explored, and other factors that have an influence on momentum correlation functions are investigated. These factors include momentum-dependent nuclear equation of state, in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections, impact parameters, total pair momenta, and beam energy. In particular, the rise and the fall of the strength of momentum correlation functions at lower relative momentum are shown with an increase in beam energy.
In this review article, we first briefly introduce the transport theory and quantum molecular dynamics model applied in the study of the heavy ion collisions from low to intermediate energies. The developments of improved quantum molecular dynamics m odel (ImQMD) and ultra-relativistic quantum molecular dynamics model (UrQMD), are reviewed. The reaction mechanism and phenomena related to the fusion, multinucleon transfer, fragmentation, collective flow and particle production are reviewed and discussed within the framework of the two models. The constraints on the isospin asymmetric nuclear equation of state and in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections by comparing the heavy ion collision data with transport models calculations in last decades are also discussed, and the uncertainties of these constraints are analyzed as well. Finally, we discuss the future direction of the development of the transport models for improving the understanding of the reaction mechanism, the descriptions of various observables, the constraint on the nuclear equation of state, as well as for the constraint on in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections.
