A search is performed for the central exclusive production of pairs of charmonia produced in proton-proton collisions. Using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3{rm fb}^{-1}$ collected at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, $J/psi J/psi$ and $J/psipsi(2S)$ pairs are observed, which have been produced in the absence of any other activity inside the LHCb acceptance that is sensitive to charged particles in the pseudorapidity ranges $(-3.5,-1.5)$ and $(1.5,5.0)$. Searches are also performed for pairs of P-wave charmonia and limits are set on their production. The cross-sections for these processes, where the dimeson system has a rapidity between 2.0 and 4.5, are measured to be $$ begin{array}{rl} sigma^{J/psi J/psi} &= 58pm10{(rm stat)} pm 6{(rm syst)} {rm pb} , sigma^{J/psipsi(2S)} &= 63 ^{+27}_{-18}{(rm stat)}pm 10{(rm syst)} {rm pb} , sigma^{psi(2S)psi(2S)} &< 237 {rm pb}, sigma^{chi_{c0}chi_{c0}} &< 69 {rm nb}, sigma^{chi_{c1}chi_{c1}} &< 45 {rm pb}, sigma^{chi_{c2}chi_{c2}} &< 141 {rm pb}, end{array} $$ where the upper limits are set at the 90% confidence level. The measured $J/psi J/psi$ and $J/psipsi(2S)$ cross-sections are consistent with theoretical expectations.

Searches are performed for both prompt-like and long-lived dark photons, $A^{prime}$, produced in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, using $A^{prime}tomu^+mu^-$ decays and a data sample corresponding to an integrated lumin osity of 1.6 fb$^{-1}$ collected with the LHCb detector. The prompt-like $A^{prime}$ search covers the mass range from near the dimuon threshold up to 70 GeV, while the long-lived $A^{prime}$ search is restricted to the low-mass region $214<m(A^{prime})<350$ MeV. No evidence for a signal is found, and 90% confidence level exclusion limits are placed on the $gamma$-$A^{prime}$ kinetic-mixing strength. The constraints placed on prompt-like dark photons are the most stringent to date for the mass range $10.6 < m(A^{prime}) < 70$ GeV, and are comparable to the best existing limits for $m(A^{prime}) < 0.5$ GeV. The search for long-lived dark photons is the first to achieve sensitivity using a displaced-vertex signature.
A search for centrally produced charmonium states has been presented. There is no significant evidence for any charmonium production. An upper limit of 2 nb is found for the cross section of chic production using the decay chic(1P)-> J/psi gamma.
We perform numerical comparison of the fragmentation mechanism of charmonium production ($g,gto c,bar{c}$ followed by $ctopsi,c$) with the full leading order calculation ($g,gtopsi,c,bar{c}$ at ${O} (alpha_s^4)$). We conclude that the non-fragmentati on contributions remain important up to $J/psi$ transverse momenta about as large as 50 GeV, thus making questionable the applicability of the fragmentation approximation at smaller transverse momenta.
Using 34.7 pb-1 of data collected with the LHCb detector, the inclusive production of the X(3872) meson in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV is observed for the first time. Candidates are selected in the X(3872) -> J/psi pi+ pi- decay mode, and used t o measure sigma(pp -> X(3872) + anything) B(X(3872)-> J/psi pi+ pi-) = 5.4 +- 1.3 (stat) +- 0.8 (syst) nb, where sigma(pp -> X(3872) + anything) is the inclusive production cross-section of X(3872) mesons with rapidity in the range 2.5-4.5 and transverse momentum in the range 5-20 GeV/c. In addition the masses of both the X(3872) and psi(2S) mesons, reconstructed in the J/psi pi+ pi- final state, are measured to be m(X(3872)) = 3871.95 +- 0.48 (stat) +- 0.12 (syst) MeV/c2 and m(psi(2S)) = 3686.12 +- 0.06 (stat) +- 0.10 (syst) MeV/c2
We have performed a systematic study of $J/psi$ and $psi(2S)$ production in $p-p$ collisions at different LHC energies and at different rapidities using the leading order (LO) non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) model of heavy quarkonium production. We have included the contributions from $chi_{cJ}$ ($J$ = 0, 1, 2) and $psi(2S)$ decays to $J/psi$. The calculated values have been compared with the available data from the four experiments at LHC namely, ALICE, ATLAS, CMS and LHCb. In case of ALICE, inclusive $J/psi$ and $psi(2S)$ cross-sections have been calculated by including the feed-down from $B$ meson using Fixed-Order Next-to-Leading Logarithm (FONLL) formalism. It is found that all the experimental cross-sections are well reproduced for $p_T >$ 4 GeV within the theoretical uncertainties arising due to the choice of the factorization scale. We also predict the transverse momentum distributions of $J/psi$ and $psi(2S)$ both for the direct and feed-down processes at the upcoming LHC energies of $sqrt{s} =$ 5.1 TeV and 13 TeV for the year 2015.
