We have calculated the complete matrix of three-loop helicity-difference (`polarized) splitting functions Delta P_ik^(2), i,k = q,g, in massless perturbative QCD. In this note we briefly discuss some properties of the polarized splitting functions and our non-standard determination of the hitherto missing lower-row quantities Delta P_gq^(2) and Delta P_gg^(2). The resulting next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) corrections to the evolution of polarized parton distributions are illustrated and found to be small even at rather large values of the strong coupling constant alpha_s.

We have computed the fourth-order nf^2 contributions to all three non-singlet quark-quark splitting functions and their four nf^3 flavour-singlet counterparts for the evolution of the parton distributions of hadrons in perturbative QCD with nf effect ively massless quark flavours. The analytic form of these functions is presented in both Mellin N-space and momentum-fraction x-space; the large-x and small-x limits are discussed. Our results agree with all available predictions derived from lower-order information. The large-x limit of the quark-quark cases provides the complete nf^2 part of the four-loop cusp anomalous dimension which agrees with two recent partial computations.
We study the factorisation properties of one-loop scattering amplitudes in the triple collinear limit and extract the universal splitting amplitudes for processes initiated by a gluon. The splitting amplitudes are derived from the analytic Higgs plus four partons amplitudes. We present compact results for primitive helicity splitting amplitudes making use of super-symmetric decompositions. The universality of the collinear factorisation is checked numerically against the full colour six parton squared matrix elements.
We use the infinite volume reconstruction method to calculate the charged/neutral pion mass difference. The hadronic tensor is calculated on lattice QCD and then combined with an analytic photon propagator, and the mass splitting is calculated with e xponentially-suppressed finite volume errors. The calculation is performed using six gauge ensembles generated with $2+1$-flavor domain wall fermions, and five ensembles are at the physical pion mass. Both Feynman and Coulomb gauge are adopted in the calculation and result in a good agreement when the lattice spacing approaches zero. After performing the continuum extrapolation and examining the residual finite-volume effects, we obtain the pion mass splitting $Delta m_pi = 4.534(42)(43)~mathrm{MeV}$, which agrees well with experimental measurements.
We present the full analytic result for the three-loop angle-dependent cusp anomalous dimension in QCD. With this result, infrared divergences of planar scattering processes with massive particles can be predicted to that order. Moreover, we define a closely related quantity in terms of an effective coupling defined by the light-like cusp anomalous dimension. We find evidence that this quantity is universal for any gauge theory, and use this observation to predict the non-planar $n_{f}$-dependent terms of the four-loop cusp anomalous dimension.

We integrate three-loop sunrise-type vacuum diagrams in $D_0=4$ dimensions with four different masses using configuration space techniques. The finite parts of our results are in numerical agreement with corresponding three-loop calculations in momen tum space. Using some of the closed form results of the momentum space calculation we arrive at new integral identities involving truncated integrals of products of Bessel functions. For the non-degenerate finite two-loop sunrise-type vacuum diagram in $D_0=2$ dimensions we make use of the known closed form $p$-space result to express the moment of a product of three Bessel functions in terms of a sum of Claussen polylogarithms. Using results for the nondegenerate two-loop sunrise diagram from the literature in $D_0=2$ dimensions we obtain a Bessel function integral identity in terms of elliptic functions.
