In the forthcoming high-luminosity phase at the LHC many of the most interesting measurements for precision QCD studies are hampered by conditions of large pile-up, particularly at not very high transverse momenta. We study observables based on measuring ratios of color-singlet currents via Higgs boson and Drell-Yan production, which may be accessed also at large pile-up, and used for an experimental program on QCD physics of gluon fusion processes in the LHC high-luminosity runs. However, with the recently discovered Hi ggs boson, which couples in the heavy top limit directly to gluons, we have access to a novel production process to probe QCD by a colour-singlet current. In this study we compare observables in Higgs boson and Drell-Yan production and investigate whether measuring ratios or subtractions can yield results that are stable in high pile-up environments, and yet sensitive to (small-$p_{text{T}}$) QCD physics in gluon fusion processes. We present results of Monte Carlo event generator calculations for a few specific examples.
We present a detailed phenomenological analysis of the production of a Standard Model Higgs boson in association with up to three jets. The Higgs is produced via gluon fusion, which is an irreducible background to the vector boson fusion mechanism. W e calculate the next-to-leading order corrections in QCD in the limit of an infinitely heavy top quark. Numerical results are presented for a large variety of observables, for different selection cuts, and for different choices of the jet tagging scheme.
We analyze soft and collinear gluon resummation effects at the N$^3$LL level for Standard Model Higgs boson production via gluon fusion $ggto H$ and the neutral scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs bosons of the minimal supersymmetric extension at the N$^3$ LL and NNLL level, respectively. We introduce refinements in the treatment of quark mass effects and subleading collinear gluon effects within the resummation. Soft and collinear gluon resummation effects amount to up to about 5% beyond the fixed-order results for scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs boson production.

The prediction of single spin asymmetry (SSA) in double $rm J/psi$ production in proton-proton collision is given out within the framework of non-relativistic QCD, using the recently obtained best fit parameters for the gluon Sivers function extracte d from PHENIX data in $rm p+p^uparrowtopi^0+X$. The color singlet state $rm ^3 S_1^{(1)}$ and color octet state $rm ^3 S_1^{(8)}$ are considered to the SSA contribution in the double $rm J/psi$ hadroproduction. Our result shows that a sizable asymmetry can be estimated as functions of different kinematic variables.
We consider the Higgs boson decay processes and its production and provide a parameterisation tailored for testing models of new physics. The choice of a particular parameterisation depends on a non-obvious balance of quantity and quality of the avai lable experimental data, envisaged purpose for the parameterisation and degree of model independence. At present only simple parameterisations with a limited number of fit parameters can be performed, but this situation will improve with the forthcoming experimental LHC data. It is therefore important that different approaches are considered and that the most detailed information is made available to allow testing the different aspects of the Higgs boson physics and the possible hints beyond the Standard Model.
