We obtain the approximate relativistic bound state of a spin-1/2 particle in the field of the Yukawa potential and a Coulomb-like tensor interaction with arbitrary spin-orbit coupling number k under the spin and pseudospin (p-spin) symmetries. The asymptotic iteration method is used to obtain energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions in their closed forms. Our numerical results show that the tensor interaction removes degeneracies between the spin and p-spin doublets and creates new degenerate doublets for various strengths of tensor coupling.

We approximately solve the Dirac equation for a new suggested generalized inversely quadratic Yukawa (GIQY) potential including a Coulomb-like tensor interaction with arbitrary spin-orbit coupling quantum number In the framework of the spin and pseud ospin (p-spin) symmetry, we obtain the energy eigenvalue equation and the corresponding eigenfunctions, in closed form, by using the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. The numerical results show that the Coulomb-like tensor interaction, removes degeneracies between spin and p-spin state doublets. The Dirac solutions in the presence of exact spin symmetry are reduced to Schrodinger solutions for Yukawa and inversely quadratic Yukawa potentials.
The Bethe-Salpeter equation for three bosons with zero-range interaction is solved for the first time. For comparison the light-front equation is also solved. The input is the two-body scattering length and the outputs are the three-body binding ener gies, Bethe-Salpeter amplitudes and light-front wave functions. Three different regimes are analyzed: ({it i}) For weak enough two-body interaction the three-body system is unbound. ({it ii}) For stronger two-body interaction a three-body bound state appears. It provides an interesting example of a deeply bound Borromean system. ({it iii}) For even stronger two-body interaction this state becomes unphysical with a negative mass squared. However, another physical (excited) state appears, found previously in light-front calculations. The Bethe-Salpeter approach implicitly incorporates three-body forces of relativistic origin, which are attractive and increase the binding energy.
The energy density functional (EDF) method is very widely used in nuclear physics, and among the various existing functionals those based on the relativistic Hartree (RH) approximation are very popular because the exchange contributions (Fock terms) are numerically rather onerous to calculate. Although it is possible to somehow mock up the effects of meson-induced exchange terms by adjusting the meson-nucleon couplings, the lack of Coulomb exchange contributions hampers the accuracy of predictions. In this note, we show that the Coulomb exchange effects can be easily included with a good accuracy in a perturbative approach. Therefore, it would be desirable for future relativistic EDF models to incorporate Coulomb exchange effects, at least to some order of perturbation.
The relativistic quantum motion of scalar bosons under the influence of a full vector (minimal $A^{mu}$ and nonminimal $X^{mu}$) and scalar ($V_{s}$) interactions embedded in the background of a cosmic string is explored in the context of the Klein-G ordon equation. Considering Coulomb interactions, the effects of this topological defect in equation of motion, phase shift and S-matrix are analyzed and discussed. Bound-state solutions are obtained from poles of the S-matrix and it is shown that bound-state solutions are possible only for a restrict range of coupling constants.
The electromagnetic interactions of a relativistic two-body bound state are formulated in three dimensions using an equal-time (ET) formalism. This involves a systematic reduction of four-dimensional dynamics to a three-dimensional form by integratin g out the time components of relative momenta. A conserved electromagnetic current is developed for the ET formalism. It is shown that consistent truncations of the electromagnetic current and the $NN$ interaction kernel may be made, order-by-order in the coupling constants, such that appropriate Ward-Takahashi identities are satisfied. A meson-exchange model of the $NN$ interaction is used to calculate deuteron vertex functions. Calculations of electromagnetic form factors for elastic scattering of electrons by deuterium are performed using an impulse-approximation current. Negative-energy components of the deuterons vertex function and retardation effects in the meson-exchange interaction are found to have only minor effects on the deuteron form factors.
