It is shown that the magnitude of tensor polarization of the deuteron beam, which arises owing to the spin dichroism effect, depends appreciably on the angular width of the detector that registers the deuterons transmitted through the target. Even when the angular width of the detector is much smaller than the mean square angle of multiple Coulomb scattering, the beams tensor polarization depends noticeably on rescattering. When the angular width of the detector is much larger than the mean square angle of multiple Coulomb scattering (as well as than the characteristic angle of elastic nuclear scattering), tensor polarization is determined only by the total reaction cross sections for deuteron-nucleus interaction, and elastic scattering processes make no contribution to tensor polarization.

We study the magnetic properties of quark matter in the NJL model with the tensor interaction. The spin-polarized phase given by the tensor interaction remains even when the quark mass is zero, while the phase given by the axial vector interaction di sappears. There are two kinds of spin-polarized phases: one appears in the chiral-broken phase, and the other appears in the chiral-restored phase where the quark mass is zero. The latter phase can appear independently of the strength of the tensor interaction.
The fragmentation of deuterons into pions emitted forward in the kinematic region forbidden for free nucleon-nucleon collisions is analyzed. It is shown that the inclusion of the non-nucleon degrees of freedom in a deuteron allows to describe the exp erimental data about inclusive pion spectrum rather satisfactory and improves the description of data concerning the deuteron analyzing power T_{20}. The experimental data show the positive sign and very small values, less than 0.2, of T_{20} what cant be reproduced by the calculations ignoring these degrees of freedom.

We show that local parity violation due to chirality imbalance in relativistic nuclear collisions can be revealed by measuring the projection of the polarization vector onto the momentum, i.e. the helicity, of final state baryons. The proposed method does not require a coupling to the electromagnetic field, like in the Chiral Magnetic Effect. By using linear response theory, we show that, in the presence of a chiral imbalance, the spin 1/2 baryons and anti-baryons receive an additional contribution to the polarization along their momentum and proportional to the axial chemical potential. The additional, parity-breaking, contribution to helicity can be detected by studying helicity-helicity azimuthal angular correlation.
It is shown that spin polarization with respect to each flavor in three-flavor quark matter occurs instead of the color-flavor locking at high baryon density by using the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with four-point tensor-type interaction. Also, it is i ndicated that the order of phase transition between the color-flavor locked phase and the spin polarized phase is the first order by means of the second order perturbation theory.
By using the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with a tensor-type four-point interaction between quarks, it is shown that there exists a possibility of a spin polarized phase in quark matter at finite temperature and density. When there exists the spin polari zation, the spontaneous magnetization may occur if the effect of the anomalous magnetic moment of quark is taken into account. An implication to the compact star objects with strong magnetic field is discussed when the spin polarization occurs.
