In this paper we study the renormalization effects of the quark flavor mixings and the Higgs self- coupling in a five dimensional model where the boson fields are propagating in the bulk whilst the matter fields are localized to the brane. We first explore the evolution behaviors for the Cabibbo- Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix in this scenario. Then, in light of the recent LHC bounds on the Higgs mass, we find that the Higgs self-coupling evolution has an improved vacuum stability condition, which is in contrast with that of Standard Model and the Universal Extra Dimension scenario, where the theory has a much lower ultraviolet cut-off.

We derive analytic necessary and sufficient conditions for the vacuum stability of the left-right symmetric model by using the concepts of copositivity and gauge orbit spaces. We also derive the conditions sufficient for successful symmetry breaking and the existence of a correct vacuum. We then compare results obtained from the derived conditions with those from numerical minimization of the scalar potential. Finally, we discuss the renormalization group analysis of the scalar quartic couplings through an example study that satisfies vacuum stability, perturbativity, unitarity and experimental bounds on the physical scalar masses.
We review some recent studies on the string model of confinement inspired by the strong-coupling regime of QCD and its application to exotic multiquark configurations. This includes two quarks and two antiquarks, four quarks and one antiquark, six qu arks, and three quarks and three antiquarks with a careful treatment of the corresponding few-body problem.
Within classically conformal models, the spontaneous breaking of scale invariance is usually associated to a strong first order phase transition that results in a gravitational wave background within the reach of future space-based interferometers. I n this paper we study the case of the classically conformal gauged B-L model, analysing the impact of this minimal extension of the Standard Model on the dynamics of the electroweak symmetry breaking and derive its gravitational wave signature. Particular attention is paid to the problem of vacuum stability and to the role of the QCD phase transition, which we prove responsible for concluding the symmetry breaking transition in part of the considered parameter space. Finally, we calculate the gravitational wave signal emitted in the process, finding that a large part of the parameter space of the model can be probed by LISA.
We extend the so-called singlet doublet dark matter model, where the dark matter is an admixture of a Standard Model singlet and a pair of electroweak doublet fermions, by a singlet scalar field. The new portal coupling of it with the dark sector not only contributes to the dark matter phenomenology (involving relic density and direct detection limits), but also becomes important for generation of dark matter mass through its vacuum expectation value. While the presence of dark sector fermions affects the stability of the electroweak vacuum adversely, we find this additional singlet is capable of making the electroweak vacuum absolutely stable upto the Planck scale. A combined study of dark matter phenomenology and Higgs vacuum stability issue reflects that the scalar sector mixing angle can be significantly constrained in this scenario.
By applying copositivity criterion to the scalar potential of the economical $3-3-1$ model, we derive necessary and sufficient bounded-from-below conditions at tree level. Although these are a large number of intricate inequalities for the dimensionl ess parameters of the scalar potential, we present general enlightening relations in this work. Additionally, we use constraints coming from the minimization of the scalar potential by means of the orbit space method, the positivity of the squared masses of the extra scalars, the Higgs boson mass, the $Z$ gauge boson mass and its mixing angle with the SM $Z$ boson in order to further restrict the parameter space of this model.
