We use the circularly polarized resonant Rayleigh scattering (RRS) to study the quantum Hall ferromagnet at $ u$ = 1. At this filling factor we observe a right handed copolarized RRS which probes the Skyrmion spin texture of the electrons in the photoexcited grounds state. The resonant scattering is not present in the left handed copolarization, and this can be related to the correlation between Skymionic effects, screening and spin wave excitations. These results evidence that RRS is a valid method for the study of the spin texture of the quantum Hall states.
Strong resonant enhancements of inelastic light scattering from the long wavelength inter-Landau level magnetoplasmon and the intra-Landau level spin wave excitations are seen for the fractional quantum Hall state at $ u = 1/3$. The energies of the s
The nature of the fractional quantum Hall effect at $ u=1/2$ observed in wide quantum wells almost three decades ago is still under debate. Previous studies have investigated it by the variational Monte Carlo method, which makes the assumption that t
Experimental and theoretical studies of the coherent spin dynamics of two-dimensional GaAs/AlGaAs electron gas were performed. The system in the quantum Hall ferromagnet state exhibits a spin relaxation mechanism that is determined by many-particle C
Optical absorption measurements are used to probe the spin polarization in the integer and fractional quantum Hall effect regimes. The system is fully spin polarized only at filling factor $ u=1$ and at very low temperatures($sim40$ mK). A small chan
We derive a generalized set of Ward identities that captures the effects of topological charge on Hall transport. The Ward identities follow from the 2+1 dimensional momentum algebra, which includes a central extension proportional to the topological
