In this paper we propose a model-independent method to extract the resonance parameters on the lattice directly from the Euclidean 2-point correlation functions of the field operators at finite times. The method is tested in case of the two-point function of the Delta-resonance, calculated at one loop in Small Scale Expansion. Further, the method is applied to a 1+1-dimensional model with two coupled Ising spins and the results are compared with earlier ones obtained by using Lueschers approach.
A new method based on the concept of probability distribution is proposed to analyze the finite volume energy spectrum in lattice QCD. Using synthetic lattice data, we demonstrate that for the channel with quantum numbers of the Delta-resonance a cle
We calculate the self-energy of the Delta (1232) resonance in a finite volume, using chiral effective field theory with explicit spin-3/2 fields. The calculations are performed up-to-and-including fourth order in the small scale expansion and yield a
The hadron resonance gas (HRG) model is often believed to correctly describe the confined phase of QCD. This assumption is the basis of many phenomenological works on QCD thermodynamics and of the analysis of hadron yields in relativistic heavy ion c
We consider the finite temperature effective potential of the standard model at the one-loop level in four dimensions by taking account of two kinds of order parameters, the Higgs vacuum expectation value and the zero modes of gauge fields for the Eu
We study the phase diagram of QCD at finite isospin density using two flavors of staggered quarks. We investigate the low temperature region of the phase diagram where we find a pion condensation phase at high chemical potential. We started a basic a
