Interacting quantum scalar field theories in $dS_Dtimes M_d$ spacetime can be reduced to Euclidean field theories in $M_d$ space in the vicinity of $I_+$ infinity of $dS_D$ spacetime. Using this non-perturbative mapping, we analyze the critical behavior of Euclidean $lambdaphi_4^4$ theory in the symmetric phase and find the asymptotic behavior $beta(lambda)sim lambda$ of the beta function at strong coupling. Scaling violating contributions to the beta function are also estimated in this regime.

The low-momentum structure of the gravitational polarization tensor of an ultrarelativistic plasma of scalar particles with $lambdaphi^4$ interactions is evaluated in a two-loop calculation up to and including order $lambda^{3/2}$. This turns out to require an improved perturbation theory which resums a local thermal mass term as well as nonlocal hard-thermal-loop vertices of scalar and gravitational fields.

We present a precise lattice computation of the slope of the effective potential for massless $(lambdaPhi^4)_4$ theory in the region of bare parameters indicated by the Brahms analysis of lattice data. Our results confirm the existence on the lattice of a remarkable phase of $(lambdaPhi^4)_4$ where Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking is generated through ``dimensional transmutation. The resulting effective potential shows no evidence for residual self-interaction effects of the shifted `Higgs field $h(x)=Phi(x)-langlePhirangle$, as predicted by ``triviality, and cannot be reproduced in perturbation theory. Accordingly the mass of the Higgs particle, by itself, does not represent a measure of any observable interaction.
We present a wormhole solution in four dimensions. It is a solution of an Einstein Maxwell theory plus charged massless fermions. The fermions give rise to a negative Casimir-like energy, which makes the wormhole possible. It is a long wormhole that does not lead to causality violations in the ambient space. It can be viewed as a pair of entangled near extremal black holes with an interaction term generated by the exchange of fermion fields. The solution can be embedded in the Standard Model by making its overall size small compared to the electroweak scale.

We provide an analysis of the structure of renormalisation scheme invariants for the case of $phi^4$ theory, relevant in four dimensions. We give a complete discussion of the invariants up to four loops and include some partial results at five loops, showing that there are considerably more invariants than one might naively have expected. We also show that one-vertex reducible contributions may consistently be omitted in a well-defined class of schemes which of course includes MSbar.
Most discussions of propagators in Lee-Wick theories focus on the presence of two massive complex conjugate poles in the propagator. We show that there is in fact only one pole near the physical region, or in another representation three pole-like st ructures with compensating extra poles. The latter modified Lehmann representation is useful caculationally and conceptually only if one includes the resonance structure in the spectral integral.
