The nucleon-nucleon bremsstrahlung reaction is investigated based on a fully gauge-invariant relativistic meson-exchange model approach. In order to account consistently for the complicated part of the interaction current (which at present is too demanding to be calculated explicitly), a generalized contact current is introduced following the approach of Haberzettl, Nakayama, and Krewald [Phys. Rev. C74, 045202 (2006)]. The contact interaction current is constructed phenomenologically such that the resulting full bremsstrahlung amplitude satisfies the generalized Ward-Takahashi identity. The formalism is applied to describe the high-precision proton-proton bremsstrahlung data at 190 MeV obtained at KVI [H. Huisman et al., Phys. Rev. C65, 031001(R) (2002)]. The present results show good agreement with the data, thus removing the longstanding discrepancy between the theoretical predictions and experimental data. The present investigation, therefore, points to the importance of properly taking into account the interaction current for this reaction.

We present calculations of the invariant mass spectra of the $Lambda$p system for the exclusive $p p to K^+ Lambda p$ reaction with the aim of studying the final state interaction between the $Lambda$-hyperon and the proton. The reaction is described within a meson exchange framework and the final state $Lambda p$ interaction is incorporated through an off-shell t-matrix for the $Lambda p to Lambda p$ scattering, constructed using the available hyperon-nucleon (YN) potentials. The cross sections are found to be sensitive to the type of YN potential used especially at the $Lambda$ and $Sigma$ production thresholds. Hence, data on this exclusive reaction, which can be used to constrain the YN potentials are desirable.
High-statistics differential cross sections for the reactions gamma p -> p eta and gamma p -> p eta-prime have been measured using the CLAS at Jefferson Lab for center-of-mass energies from near threshold up to 2.84 GeV. The eta-prime results are the most precise to date and provide the largest energy and angular coverage. The eta measurements extend the energy range of the worlds large-angle results by approximately 300 MeV. These new data, in particular the eta-prime measurements, are likely to help constrain the analyses being performed to search for new baryon resonance states.

A measurement of the pp --> p p eta reaction at the excess energy of Q = 15.5 +- 0.4 MeV has been carried out at the internal beam facility COSY-11 with an integrated luminosity of 811 nb^-1 The number of ~24000 identified events permits a precise de termination of total (2.32 +- 0.05 +- 0.35 mu b) and differential cross sections. Preliminary investigations show that the angular distribution of the eta meson in the center-of-mass system is isotropic. A qualitative analysis of the Dalitz-plot distribution is presented.
Polarization properties of strange baryons produced in pp reactions, p + p -> p + Lambda^0 + K^+ and p + p -> p + Sigma^0 + K^$, near thresholds of the final states (p Lambda^0 K^+) and (p Sigma^0 K^+) are analysed relative to polarizations of collid ing protons. The cross sections for pp reactions are calculated within the effective Lagrangian approach accounting for strong pp rescattering in the initial state of colliding protons with a dominant contribution of the one-pion exchange and strong final-state interaction of daughter hadrons (Eur. Phys. J. A 9, 425 (2000)).
Nucleon pole contributions in $J/psi to N bar N pi$, $p bar p eta$, $p bar p eta^{prime}$ and $p bar{p} omega$ decays are re-studied. Different contributions due to PS-PS and PS-PV couplings in the $pi$-N interaction and the effects of $NNpi$ form fa ctors are investigated in the $J/psi to N bar N pi$ decay channel. It is found that when the ratio of $|F_0| /|F_M|$ takes small value, without considering the $NNpi$ form factor, the difference between PS-PS and PS-PV couplings are negligible. However, when the $NNpi$ form factor is included, this difference is greatly enlarged. The resultant decay widths are sensitive to the form factors. As a conclusion, the nucleon-pole contribution as a background is important in the $J/psito Nbar{N}pi$ decay and must be accounted. In the $J/psito Nbar{N}eta$ and $Nbar{N}eta$ decays, its contribution is less than 0.1% of the data. In the $J/psito Nbar{N}omega$ decay, it provides rather important contribution without considering form factors. But the contribution is suppressed greatly when adding the off-shell form factors. Comparing these results with data would help us to select a proper form factor for such kind of decay.
