The retardation spectrometer aSPECT was built to measure the shape of the proton spectrum in free neutron decay with high precision. This allows us to determine the antineutrino electron angular correlation coefficient a. We aim for a precision more than one order of magnitude better than the present best value, which is Delta_a /a = 5%. In a recent beam time performed at the Institut Laue-Langevin during April / May 2008 we reached a statistical accuracy of about 2% per 24 hours measurement time. Several systematic effects were investigated experimentally. We expect the total relative uncertainty to be well below 5%.

The NA60 experiment has measured the production of muon pairs and of charged particles in In+In collisions at a beam energy of 158 AGeV. For invariant dimuon masses below the phi the space-time averaged rho spectral function was isolated by a novel p rocedure. It shows a strong broadening but essentially no shift in mass. The production of J/psi was measured as a function of the collision centrality. As in previous experiments studying Pb+Pb collisions an anomalous supression is observed, setting in at approximately 90 participant nucleons. Using the charged particles the reaction plane was reconstructed. The elliptic flow of charged particles increases with pt showing a saturation for pt > 2GeV/c. For the first time azimuthal distributions for J/psi are shown.

This manuscript contains a summary of the latest physics results from PHOBOS, as reported at Quark Matter 2006. Highlights include the first measurement from PHOBOS of dynamical elliptic flow fluctuations as well as an explanation of their possible o rigin, two-particle correlations, identified particle ratios, identified particle spectra and the latest results in global charged particle production.

The current status of the reaction rate of $^{22}$Ne($alpha$,n)$^{25}$Mg is summarized. Among the latest new results, probably the most relevant is the conclusion that the E$_x$=11.15 MeV state in $^{26}$Mg has a non-natural parity, so it does not co ntribute to the rates of the $alpha$ + $^{22}$Ne reactions. However, it may be possible that other neighboring states contribute to the neutron yield at stellar temperatures. Here we make an account of some of the experimental work in the literature that is relevant to this state. Indeed, it would have been possible to avoid the controversy regarding this state before it even started.
We report the latest results of J/psi, psi(2S) and Upsilon production in the dielectron decay channel at mid-rapidity, from the STAR experiment. We present J/psi cross section measurements in p+p collisions at 200 and 500 GeV, as well as the first me asurement of the psi(2S) to J/psi ratio at 500 GeV. We also show J/psi and Upsilon production in heavy ion collisions: J/psi nuclear modification factors (R_{AA}) in Au+Au collisions at 200, 62.4 and 39 GeV and in U+U collisions at 193 GeV, Upsilon R_{AA} in d+Au, Au+Au and U+U collisions at 200, 200 and 193 GeV, respectively. The results are compared to different model calculations.
A study of the $beta$ decay of the proton-rich $T_{z}$ = -2 nucleus $^{56}$Zn has been reported in a recent publication. A rare and exotic decay mode, $beta$-delayed $gamma$-proton decay, has been observed there for the first time in the $fp$ shell. Here we expand on some of the details of the data analysis, focussing on the charged particle spectrum.
