We determine the structure of the hydrodynamics with conserved current, using the gauge/gravity duality of charged black-hole background. It turns out that even in the presence of the external electromagnetic field at the boundary, bulk Einstein equation is equivalent to the boundary conservation of energy momentum tensor and that of current. As a consequence, the thermal conductivity and electric conductivity are calculated in terms of the parameters of the fundamental theory. We find that Wiedermann-Franz law hold with Lorentz number $1/e^2$
We study non-Einstein Bach-flat gravitational instanton solutions that can be regarded as the generalization of the Taub-NUT/Bolt and Eguchi-Hanson solutions of Einstein gravity to conformal gravity. These solutions include non-Einstein spaces which
The quantum effective action yields equations of motion and correlation functions including all quantum corrections. We discuss here how it encodes also Noether currents at the full quantum level. This holds both for covariantly conserved currents as
In this paper we generalize the off-shell Abbott-Deser-Tekin (ADT) conserved charge formalism to Palatini theory of gravity with torsion and non-metricity. Our construction is based on the coordinate formalism and the independent dynamic fields are t
We consider the problem of finding a dual formulation of gravity in the presence of non-trivial matter couplings. In the absence of matter a dual graviton can be introduced only for linearised gravitational interactions. We show that the coupling of
We construct a new covariant action for flat self-dual gravity in four spacetime dimensions. The action has just one term, but when expanded around an appropriate background gives rise to a kinetic term and a cubic interaction. Upon imposing the ligh
