Recent CLAS data on the $ppi^+pi^-$ electroproduction off protons at 1.3$<$W$<$1.57 GeV and 0.25$<$$Q^{2}$$<$0.6 GeV$^{2}$ have been analyzed using a meson-baryon phenomenological model. By fitting nine 1-fold differential cross section data for each $W$ and $Q^{2}$ bin, the charged double pion electroproduction mechanisms are identified from their manifestations in the observables. We have extracted the cross sections from amplitudes of each of the considered isobar channels as well as from their coherent sum. We also obtained non-resonant partial wave amplitudes of all contributing isobar channels which could be useful for advancing a complete coupled-channel analysis of all meson electroproduction data.

We report on a Rosenbluth separation using previously published data by the CLAS collaboration in Hall B, Jefferson Lab for exclusive $pi^{0}$ deeply virtual electroproduction (DVEP) from the proton at a mean $Q^{2}$ of $approx$ 2 (GeV/c)$^{2}$. The central question we address is the applicability of factorization in $pi^0$ DVEP at these kinematics. The results of our Rosenbluth separation clearly demonstrate the dominance of the longitudinal contribution to the cross section. The extracted longitudinal and transverse contributions are in agreement with previous data from Hall A at Jefferson Lab, but over a much wider $-t$ range (0.12 - 1.8 (GeV/c)$^{2}$). The measured dominance of the longitudinal contribution at $Q^{2} approx$ 2 (GeV/c)$^{2}$ is consistent with the expectation of the handbag factorization theorem. We find that $sigma_L(t) sim 1/(-t)$ for $-t >$ 0.5 (GeV/c)$^2$. Determination of both longitudinal and transverse contributions to the deeply virtual $pi^{0}$ electroproduction cross section allows extraction of additional GPDs.
The beam-helicity asymmetry in associated electroproduction of real photons, $epto egamma pi N$, in the $Delta$(1232)-resonance region is measured using the longitudinally polarized HERA positron beam and an unpolarized hydrogen target. Azimuthal Fou rier amplitudes of this asymmetry are extracted separately for two channels, $epto egamma pi^0 p$ and $epto egamma pi^+ n$, from a data set collected with a recoil detector. All asymmetry amplitudes are found to be consistent with zero.
Various model-independent aspects of the $bar{K} N to K Xi$ reaction are investigated, starting from the determination of the most general structure of the reaction amplitude for $Xi$ baryons with $J^P=frac12^pm$ and $frac32^pm$ and the observables t hat allow a complete determination of these amplitudes. Polarization observables are constructed in terms of spin-density matrix elements. Reflection symmetry about the reaction plane is exploited, in particular, to determine the parity of the produced $Xi$ in a model-independent way. In addition, extending the work of Biagi $mathrm{textit{et al. } [Z. Phys. C textbf{34}, 175 (1987)]}$, a way is presented of determining simultaneously the spin and parity of the ground state of $Xi$ baryon as well as those of the excited $Xi$ states.

Background: Measurements of exclusive meson production are a useful tool in the study of hadronic structure. In particular, one can discern the relevant degrees of freedom at different distance scales through these studies. Purpose: To study the tran sition between non-perturbative and perturbative Quantum Chromodyanmics as the square of four momentum transfer to the struck proton, -t, is increased. Method: Cross sections for the $^1$H(e,e$pi^+$)n reaction were measured over the -t range of 0.272 to 2.127 GeV$^2$ with limited azimuthal coverage at fixed beam energy of 4.709 GeV, Q$^2$ of 2.4 GeV$^2$ and W of 2.0 GeV at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab) Hall C. Results: The -t dependence of the measured $pi^+$ electroproduction cross section generally agrees with prior data from JLab Halls B and C. The data are consistent with a Regge amplitude based theoretical model, but show poor agreement with a Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) based model. Conclusion: The agreement of cross sections with prior data implies small contribution from the interference terms, and the confirmation of the change in t-slopes between the low and high -t regions previously observed in photoproduction indicates the changing nature of the electroproduction reaction in our kinematic regime.
We present deeply virtual $pi^0$ electroproduction cross-section measurements at $x_B$=0.36 and three different $Q^2$--values ranging from 1.5 to 2 GeV$^2$, obtained from experiment E07-007 that ran in the Hall A at Jefferson Lab. The Rosenbluth tech nique was used to separate the longitudinal and transverse responses. Results demonstrate that the cross section is dominated by its transverse component, and thus is far from the asymptotic limit predicted by perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. An indication of a non-zero longitudinal contribution is provided by the interference term $sigma_{LT}$ also measured. Results are compared with several models based on the leading twist approach of Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs). In particular, a fair agreement is obtained with models where the scattering amplitude is described by a convolution of chiral-odd (transversity) GPDs of the nucleon with the twist-3 pion distribution amplitude. Therefore, neutral pion electroproduction may offer the exciting possibility of accessing transversity GPDs through experiment.
