We have computed the one-loop electroweak expression of diagonal and non diagonal stop-antistop and sbottom-antisbottom production from initial state gluons at LHC. We have investigated the possibility that the one-loop effects exhibit a dependence on extra supersymmetric parameters different from the final squark masses. Our results, given for a choice of twelve SUSY benchmark points in the MSSM with mSUGRA symmetry breaking, show that in some cases a mild dependence might arise, at the percent relative level, of not simple experimental detection.

The process of stop-chargino production at LHC has been calculated in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at the complete electroweak one-loop level, assuming a mSUGRA symmetry breaking scheme. Several properties of the angular and invariant ma ss distributions of the basic bottom-gluon to stop-chargino amplitudes have been derived. For a meaningful collection of different benchmark points the overall electroweak one-loop effects are at most of the order of a few percent. At the realistically expected LHC accuracy, the main supersymmetric electroweak features of the process can be therefore essentially derived in this theoretical scheme from the simple Born level expressions.
The top squarks (stops) may be the most wanted particles after the Higgs boson discovery. The searches for the lightest stop have put strong constraints on its mass. However, there is still a search gap in the low mass region if the spectrum of the s top and the lightest neutralino is compressed. In that case, it may be easier to look for the second stop since naturalness requires both stops to be close to the weak scale. The current experimental searches for the second stop are based on the simplified model approach with the decay modes $tilde{t}_2 to tilde{t}_1 Z$ and $tilde{t}_2 to tilde{t}_1 h$. However, in a realistic supersymmetric spectrum there is always a sbottom lighter than the second stop, hence the decay patterns are usually more complicated than the simplified model assumptions. In particular, there are often large branching ratios of the decays $tilde{t}_2 to tilde{b}_1 W$ and $tilde{b}_1 to tilde{t}_1 W$ as long as they are open. The decay chains can be even more complex if there are intermediate states of additional charginos and neutralinos in the decays. By studying several MSSM benchmark models at the 14 TeV LHC, we point out the importance of the multi-$W$ final states in the second stop and the sbottom searches, such as the same-sign dilepton and multilepton signals, aside from the traditional search modes. The observed same-sign dilepton excesses at LHC Run 1 and Run 2 may be explained by some of our benchmark models. We also suggest that the vector boson tagging and a new kinematic variable may help to suppress the backgrounds and increase the signal significance for some search channels. Due to the complex decay patterns and lack of the dominant decay channels, the best reaches likely require a combination of various search channels at the LHC for the second stop and the lightest sbottom.
The production of supersymmetric stop-antistop pairs at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is studied including corrections from soft-gluon resummation up to next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (NNLL) accuracy in the Mellin-space approach. Additionally, corrections to the hard-matching coefficient at one-loop and Coulomb contributions at two-loop order are considered. The NNLL corrections enhance the cross section for all stop masses at centre-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV compared to the previously calculated predictions at next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) accuracy. Furthermore, a slight increase in the dependence on the additional stop-mixing parameters is observed.
We survey the expected polarization of the top produced in the decay of a scalar top quark, $tilde t rightarrow {tilde t}chi_i^0, i =1-2$. The phenomenology is quite interesting, since the expected polarization depends both on the mixing in the stop and neutralino sectors and on the mass differences between the stop and the neutralino. We find that a mixed stop behaves almost like a right-handed stop due to the larger hypercharge that enters the stop/top/gaugino coupling and that these polarisation effects disappear, when $m_{tilde t_1} approx m_t+m_{tildechi^0_i}$. After a discussion on the expected top polarization from the decay of a scalar top quark, we focus on the interplay of polarization and kinematics at the LHC. We discuss different probes of the top polarization in terms of lab-frame observables. We find that these observables faithfully reflect the polarization of the parent top-quark, but also have a non-trivial dependence on the kinematics of the stop production and decay process. In addition, we illustrate the effect of top polarization on the energy and transverse momentum of the decay lepton in the laboratory frame. Our results show that both spectra are softened substantially in case of a negatively polarized top, particularly for a large mass difference between the stop and the neutralino. Thus, the search strategies, and the conclusions that can be drawn from them, depends not just on the mass difference $m_{tilde t} - m_{tildechi_{i}^{0}}$ due to the usual kinematic effects but also on the effects of top polarization on the decay kinematics the extent of which depends in turn on the said mass difference.

We present preliminary results on a search for squarks and gluinos in proton-antiproton collisions with a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV and based on about 2.0 fb-1 of data collected by the CDF detector in the Tevatron Run II. Events with multiple jets of hadrons and large missing transverse energy in the final state are studied within the framework of minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) and assuming R-parity conservation. The results are compared to Standard Model predictions and limits on gluino and squark masses are extracted. A specific search for the supersymmetric partner of the bottom quark produced from gluino decays is carried out using a sample of events with missing transverse energy and two or more jets, at least one of them b-tagged. Good agreement is found between data and Standard Model predictions, and limits on gluino and sbottom masses are extracted.
