Prima facie the systematic implementation of corrections to the rainbow-ladder truncation of QCDs Dyson-Schwinger equations will uniformly reduce in magnitude those calculated mass-dimensioned results for pseudoscalar and vector meson properties that are not tightly constrained by symmetries. The aim and interpretation of studies employing rainbow-ladder truncation are reconsidered in this light.

We present a calculation of the three-quark core contribution to nucleon and Delta-baryon masses and Delta electromagnetic form factors in a Poincare-covariant Faddeev approach. A consistent setup for the dressed-quark propagator, the quark-quark, qu ark-diquark and quark-photon interactions is employed, where all ingredients are solutions of their respective Dyson-Schwinger or Bethe-Salpeter equations in a rainbow-ladder truncation. The resulting Delta electromagnetic form factors concur with present experimental and lattice data.
We solve the Minkowski-space Schwinger-Dyson equation (SDE) for the fermion propagator in quantum electrodynamics (QED) with massive photons. Specifically, we work in the quenched approximation within the rainbow-ladder truncation. Loop-divergences a re regularized by the Pauli-Villars regularization. With moderately strong fermion-photon coupling, we find that the analytic structure of the fermion propagator consists of an on-shell pole and branch-cuts located in the timelike region. Such structures are consistent with the direct solution of the fermion propagator as functions of the complex momentum. Our method paves the way towards the calculation of the Minkowski-space Bethe-Salpeter amplitude using dressed fermion propagator.
Quantum Field Theories (QFTs) in Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime are often strongly coupled when the radius of AdS is large, and few methods are available to study them. In this work, we develop a Hamiltonian truncation method to compute the energy sp ectrum of QFTs in two-dimensional AdS. The infinite volume of constant timeslices of AdS leads to divergences in the energy levels. We propose a simple prescription to obtain finite physical energies and test it with numerical diagonalization in several models: the free massive scalar field, $phi^4$ theory, Lee-Yang and Ising field theory. Along the way, we discuss spontaneous symmetry breaking in AdS and derive a compact formula for perturbation theory in quantum mechanics at arbitrary order. Our results suggest that all conformal boundary conditions for a given theory are connected via bulk renormalization group flows in AdS.
A Poincare covariant Faddeev equation is presented, which enables the simultaneous prediction of meson and baryon observables using the leading-order in a truncation of the Dyson-Schwinger equations that can systematically be improved. The solution d escribes a nucleons dressed-quark core. The evolution of the nucleon mass with current-quark mass is discussed. A nucleon-photon current, which can produce nucleon form factors with realistic Q^2-evolution, is described. Axial-vector diquark correlations lead to a neutron Dirac form factor that is negative, with r_1^{nu}>r_1^{nd}. The proton electric-magnetic form factor ratio falls with increasing Q^2.
In pure-glue QCD, gluon-gluon scattering in the $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$ channel is described by a very simple equation, especially if one considers just the leading contribution to the scattering kernel. Of all components in this kernel, only the three-gluon vertex, $V_{mu urho}$, is poorly constrained by contemporary analyses; hence, calculations of $0^{-+}$ glueball properties serve as a clear window onto the character and form of $V_{mu urho}$. This is important given that many modern calculations of $V_{mu urho}$ predict the appearance of an infrared suppression in the scalar function which comes to modulate the bare vertex after the nonperturbative resummation of interactions. Such behaviour is a peculiar prediction; but we find that such suppression is essential if one is to achieve agreement with lattice-QCD predictions for the $0^{-+}$ glueball mass. It is likely, therefore, that this novel feature of $V_{mu urho}$ is real and has observable implications for the spectrum, decays and interactions of all QCD bound-states.
