We analyze two recent reactions of Belle, producing $Dbar D$ and $Dbar D^*$ states that have an enhancement of the invariant $Dbar D$, $Dbar D^*$ mass distribution close to threshold, from the point of view that they might be indicative of the existence of a hidden charm scalar and an axial vector meson states below $Dbar D$ or $Dbar D^*$ thresholds, respectively. We conclude that the data is compatible with the existing prediction of a hidden charm scalar meson with mass around 3700 MeV, though other possibilities cannot be discarded. The peak seen in the $Dbar D^*$ spectrum above threshold is, however, unlikely to be due to a threshold enhancement produced by the presence, below threshold, of the hidden charm axial vector meson X(3872).

In two recent reactions by Belle producing $Dbar D$ and $Dbar D^*$ meson pairs, peaks above threshold have been measured in the differential cross sections, possibly indicating new resonances in these channels. We want to study such reactions from th e point of view that the $D$ meson pairs are produced from already known or predicted resonances below threshold. Our study shows that the peak in the $Dbar D^*$ production is not likely to be caused by the X(3872) resonance, but the peak seen in $Dbar D$ invariant mass can be well described if the $Dbar D$ pair comes from the already predicted scalar X(3700) resonance.

Using the data samples of $(1310.6pm7.2 )times 10^{6}$ $J/psi$ events and $(448.1pm2.9)times 10^{6}$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we search for the rare decays $J/psi to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.$ and $psi(3686) to D^{0} e^{+}e ^{-} +c.c.$. No significant signals are observed and the corresponding upper limits on the branching fractions at the $90%$ confidence level are determined to be $Br(J/psi to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)< 8.5times 10^{-8}$ and $Br (psi(3686) to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)<1.4times 10^{-7}$, respectively. Our limit on $Br(J/psi to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)$ is more stringent by two orders of magnitude than the previous results, and the $Br(psi(3686) to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)$ is measured for the first time.
We perform a full amplitude analysis of the process $e^+ e^- rightarrow J/psi D bar{D}$, where $D$ refers to either $D^0$ or $D^+$. A new charmoniumlike state $X^*(3860)$ that decays to $D bar{D}$ is observed with a significance of $6.5sigma$. Its ma ss is ($3862^{+26}_{-32}{}^{+40}_{-13}$) MeV/$c^2$ and width is ($201^{+154}_{-67}{}^{+88}_{-82}$) MeV. The $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ hypothesis is favored over the $2^{++}$ hypothesis at the level of $2.5sigma$. The analysis is based on the 980 $mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider KEKB.
Using a sample of $2.25times 10^8$ $J/psi$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the $J/psi$ semi-leptonic weak decay $J/psi to D^{-}_{s} e^{+} u_{e}+c.c.$ with a much higher sensitivity than previous searche s. We also perform the first search for $J/psi to D^{*-}_{s} e^{+} u_{e}+c.c.$ No significant excess of a signal above background is observed in either channel. At the $90%$ confidence level, the upper limits are determined to be $mathcal{B}(J/psi to D^{-}_{s}e^{+} u_{e}+c.c.)<1.3times10^{-6}$ and $mathcal{B}(J/psi to {D^{*}_{s}}^{-}e^{+} u_{e}+c.c.)<1.8times10^{-6}$, respectively. Both are consistent with Standard Model predictions.
We evaluate the form factors describing the semileptonic decays $bar{B^0}to J/psi (eta_c) D^+ ell^- bar u_ell$, within the framework of a QCD relativistic potential model. This decay is complementary to $bar{B^0}to J/psi (eta_c) D^+ pi^-$ in a phase space region where a pion factors out.We estimate the branching ratio for these semileptonic and nonleptonic channels, finding $mathcal{BR}(bar{B^0} to J/psi (eta_c) D^+ ell u_ell) simeq 10^{-13}$, $mathcal{BR}(bar{B^0} to J/psi D^+ pi^-) = 3.1 times 10^{-8}$ and $mathcal{BR}(bar{B^0} to eta_c D^+ pi^-) = 3.5 times 10^{-8}$.
