A CMOS device was designed with arrays of resistive lines 0.35$mu$m in width. The array periods are 0.8micron and 10micron to study the spatial resolution of the SThM. Integrated Circuits with passivation layers of micrometric and nanometric thicknesses were tested. To enhance signal-to-noise ratio, the resistive lines were heated with an AC current. The passivation layer of nanometric thickness allows us to distinguish the lines when the array period is 10micron. The results raise the difficulties of the SThM measurement due to the design and the topography of ICs on one hand and the size of the thermal probe on the other hand.ic size. Tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) in a vertical manganite junction was investigated by low-temperature scanning laser microscopy (LTSLM) allowing to determine the local relative magnetization M orientation of the two electrodes as a function of magni
A theory is presented to describe the heat-flux radiated in near-field regime by a set of interacting nanoemitters held at different temperatures in vacuum or above a solid surface. We show that this thermal energy can be focused and even amplified i
Microwave photons inside lattices of coupled resonators and superconducting qubits can exhibit surprising matter-like behavior. Realizing such open-system quantum simulators presents an experimental challenge and requires new tools and measurement te
Fabrication, characterization and comparison of gold and graphene micro- and nano-size Hall sensors for room temperature scanning magnetic field microscopy applications is presented. The Hall sensors with active areas from 5 $mu$m down to 50 nm were
Surface based geometries of microfabricated wires or patterned magnetic films can be used to magnetically trap and manipulate ultracold neutral atoms or Bose-Einstein condensates. We investigate the magnetic properties of such atom chips using a scan
