The physical meaning of bare and dressed scattering matrix singularities has been investigated. Special attention has been attributed to the role of well known invariance of scattering matrix with respect to the field transformation of the effective Lagrangian. Examples of evaluating bare and dressed quantities in various models are given.

A Wilsonian approach to $pipi$ scattering based in the Glazek-Wilson Similarity Renormalization Group (SRG) for Hamiltonians is analyzed in momentum space up to a maximal CM energy of $sqrt{s}=1.4$ GeV. To this end, we identify the corresponding rela tivistic Hamiltonian by means of the 3D reduction of the Bethe-Salpeter equation in the Kadyshevsky scheme, introduce a momentum grid and provide an isospectral definition of the phase-shift based on a spectral shift of a Chebyshev angle. We also propose a new method to integrate the SRG equations based on the Crank-Nicolson algorithm with a single step finite difference so that isospectrality is preserved at any step of the calculations. We discuss issues on the unnatural high momentum tails present in the fitted interactions and reaching far beyond the maximal CM energy of $sqrt{s}=1.4$ GeV and how these tails can be integrated out explicitly by using Block-Diagonal generators of the SRG.

The momentum correlation functions of S = -2 baryon pairs (p Xi^- and Lambda Lambda) produced in high-energy pp and pA collisions are investigated on the basis of the coupled-channel formalism. The strong interaction is described by the coupled-chann el HAL QCD potential obtained by the lattice QCD simulations near physical quark masses, while the hadronic source function is taken to be a static Gaussian form. The coupled-channel effect, the threshold difference, the realistic strong interaction, and the Coulomb interaction are fully taken into account for the first time in the femtoscopic analysis of baryon-baryon correlations. The characteristic features of the experimental data for the p Xi^- and Lambda Lambda pairs at LHC are reproduced quantitatively with a suitable choice of non-femtoscopic parameters and the source size. The agreement between theory and experiment indicates that the N Xi (Lambda Lambda) interaction is moderately (weakly) attractive without having a quasi-bound (bound) state.

Coupled-channel dynamics for scattering and production processes in partial-wave amplitudes is discussed from a perspective that emphasizes unitarity and analyticity. We elaborate on several methods that have driven to important results in hadron phy sics, either by themselves or in conjunction with effective field theory. We also develop and compare with the use of the Lippmann-Schwinger equation in near-threshold scattering. The final(initial)-state interactions are discussed in detail for the elastic and coupled-channel case. Emphasis has been put in the derivation and discussion of the methods presented, with some applications examined as important examples of their usage.

A set of coupled two-body scattering equations is solved for the DN system embedded in an iso-symmetric nuclear matter. The in-medium behavior of charmed D mesons: (D^+,D^0), is investigated from the self-consistent solution within this scheme. The e ffective meson-baryon Lagrangian in charm quantum number one sector, the key ingredient in the present study, is adopted from a recent model by Hofmann and Lutz which has aimed at combining the charmed meson degree of freedom in a consistent manner with chiral unitary models. After a critical examination, the original model is modified in several important aspects, such as the method of regularization, in order to be more consistent and practical for our objective. The resultant interaction is used to reproduce the position and width of the s-wave Lambda_c(2593) resonance in the isospin zero DN channel. In the isospin one channel, it generates a rather wide resonance at ~2770 MeV. The corresponding in-medium solution is then sought by incorporating Pauli blocking and the D- and pi-meson dressing self-consistently. At normal nuclear matter density, the resultant Lambda_c (2593) is found to stay narrow and shifted at a lower energy, while the I=1 resonance is lowered in position as well and broadened considerably. The possible implication of our findings on the J/Psi suppression, etc. in relativistic heavy ion collisions is briefly discussed.
We calculate the spectra of produced thermal photons in Au+Au collisions taking into account the nonequilibrium contribution to photon production due to finite shear viscosity. The evolution of the fireball is modeled by second-order as well as by di vergence-type 2+1 dissipative hydrodynamics, both with an ideal equation of state and with one based on Lattice QCD that includes an analytical crossover. The spectrum calculated in the divergence-type theory is considerably enhanced with respect to the one calculated in the second-order theory, the difference being entirely due to differences in the viscous corrections to photon production. Our results show that the differences in hydrodynamic formalisms are an important source of uncertainty in the extraction of the value of $eta/s$ from measured photon spectra. The uncertainty in the value of $eta/s$ associated with different hydrodynamic models used to compute thermal photon spectra is larger than the one occurring in matching hadron elliptic flow to RHIC data.
