There is an important connection between the low energy theorems of QCD and the energy dependence of the Delta resonance in pi-N scattering, as well as the closely related gamma^{*} N -> pi N reaction. The resonance shape is due not only to the strong pi-N interaction in the p wave but the small interaction in the s wave; the latter is due to spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking in QCD (i.e. the Nambu-Goldstone nature of the pion). A brief overview of experimental tests of chiral perturbation theory and chiral based models is presented

The strong and electromagnetic corrections to $rho-omega$ mixing are calculated using a SU(2) version of resonance chiral theory up to next-to-leading orders in $1/N_C$ expansion, respectively. Up to our accuracy, the effect of the momentum dependenc e of $rho-omega$ mixing is incorporated due to the inclusion of loop contributions. We analyze the impact of $rho-omega$ mixing on the pion vector form factor by performing numerical fit to the data extracted from $e^+e^-rightarrow pi^+pi^-$ and $taurightarrow u_{tau}2pi$, while the decay width of $omegarightarrow pi^+pi^-$ is taken into account as a constraint. It is found that the momentum dependence is significant in a good description of the experimental data. In addition, based on the fitted values of the involved parameters, we analyze the decay width of $omega rightarrow pi^+pi^-$, which turns out to be highly dominated by the $rho-omega$ mixing effect.
We derive expression for the large b_perp asymptotic of the 3D parton distributions q(x,b_perp) in the pion. The asymptotic depends exclusively on the mass scales F_pi and m_pi. Therefore it provides us with a nice example of a strict non-perturbativ e result for the partonic structure of Nambu-Goldstone bosons in QCD. Analyzing the x-dependent pion transverse radius we reveal a new phenomenon of chiral inflation-- in the parametrically wide region of Bjorken x (m_pi^2/(4 pi F_pi)^2 << x << 1) the pion radius grows exponentially fast with the rapidity eta=ln(1/x). We show that the partons in this interval of Bjorken x contribute to famous logarithmic divergency of the pion radius. In other words, the partonic picture of the classical result of ChPT is provided. The phenomenon of the chiral inflation is at variance with the Gribov diffusion, because of long-range interaction of the Nambu-Goldstone bosons.
In the present work, we study the recent collision energy and multiplicity dependence of the charged particle transverse momentum spectra as measured by the ALICE collaboration in $pp$ collisions at $sqrt{s}$ = 5.02 and 13 TeV using the non-extensive Tsallis distribution and the Boltzmann-Gibbs Blast Wave (BGBW) model. A thermodynamically consistent form of the Tsallis distribution is used to extract the kinetic freeze-out parameters from the transverse momentum spectra of charged particles at mid-rapidity. In addition, a comprehensive study of fitting range dependence of transverse momentum spectra on the freeze-out parameters is done using Tsallis statistics. The applicability of BGBW model is verified by fitting the transverse momentum spectra of the bulk part ($sim 2.5~ {rm GeV}/c$)for both 5.02 and 13 TeV energies and also in different multiplicity classes. The radial flow, $<beta>$ is almost independent of collision energy and multiplicity whereas the behavior of kinetic freeze-out temperature significantly depends on multiplicity classes. It is found that the Tsallis distribution generally leads to a better description for the complete transverse momentum spectra whereas the BGBW model explains the bulk part of the system.
The transverse momentum (mass) spectra of the multi-strange and non-multi-strange (i.e. other identified) particles in central gold-gold (Au-Au), lead-lead (Pb-Pb), argon-muriate (Ar-KCl) and nickel-nickel (Ni-Ni) collisions over a wide energy range have been studied in this work. The experimental data measured by various collaborations have been analyzed. The blast-wave fit with Tsallis statistics is used to extract the kinetic freeze-out temperature and transverse flow velocity from the experimental data of transverse momentum (mass) spectra. The extracted parameters increase with the increase of collision energy and appear with the trend of saturation at the Beam Energy Scan (BES) energies at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). This saturation implies that the onset energy of phase transition of partial deconfinement is 7.7 GeV and that of whole deconfinement is 39 GeV. Furthermore, the energy scan/dependence of kinetic freeze-out scenarios are observed for the multi-strange and other identified particles, though the multiple freeze-out scenarios are also observed for various particles.
We consider a solution of the atmospheric neutrino problem based on oscillations of muon neutrinos to sterile neutrinos: $ u_{mu}$ $leftrightarrow$ $ u_s$. The zenith angle ($Theta$) dependences of the neutrino and upward-going muon fluxes in presenc e of these oscillations are studied. The dependences have characteristic form with two dips: at $cos Theta = -0.6 div -0.2$ and $cos Theta = -1.0 div -0.8$. The latter dip is due to parametric resonance in oscillations of neutrinos which cross the core of the earth. A comparison of predictions with data from the MACRO, Baksan and Super-Kamiokande experiments is given.
