We study fluctuations and finite size corrections for the ferromagnetic thermodynamic limit in the Bethe ansatz for the Heisenberg XXX1/2 spin chain, which is the AdS/CFT dual of semiclassical spinning strings. For this system we derive the standard quantum mechanical formula which expresses the energy shift as a sum over fluctuation energies. As an example we apply our results to the simplest, one-cut solution of this system and derive its spectrum of fluctuations.

We develop an integrability-based framework to compute structure constants of two sub-determinant operators and a single-trace non-BPS operator in ABJM theory in the planar limit. In this first paper, we study them at weak coupling using a relation t o an integrable spin chain. We first develop a nested Bethe ansatz for an alternating SU(4) spin chain that describes single-trace operators made out of scalar fields. We then apply it to the computation of the structure constants and show that they are given by overlaps between a Bethe eigenstate and a matrix product state. We conjecture that the determinant operator corresponds to an integrable matrix product state and present a closed-form expression for the overlap, which resembles the so-called Gaudin determinant. We also provide evidence for the integrability of general sub-determinant operators. The techniques developed in this paper can be applied to other quantities in ABJM theory including three-point functions of single-trace operators.
We review the exact treatment of the pairing correlation functions in the canonical ensemble. The key for the calculations has been provided by relating the discrete BCS model to known integrable theories corresponding to the so called Gaudin magnets with suitable boundary terms. In the present case the correlation functions can be accessed beyond the formal level, allowing the description of the cross-over from few electrons to the thermodynamic limit. In particular, we summarize the results on the finite size scaling behavior of the canonical pairing clarifying some puzzles emerged in the past. Some recent developments and applications are outlined.
We find a new vacuum of the Bethe ansatz solutions in the massless Thirring model. This vacuum breaks the chiral symmetry and has the lower energy than the well-known symmetric vacuum energy. Further, we evaluate the energy spectrum of the one partic le-one hole ($1p-1h$) states, and find that it has a finite gap. The analytical expressions for the true vacuum as well as for the lowest $1p-1h$ excited state are also found. Further, we examine the bosonization of the massless Thirring model and prove that the well-known procedure of bosonization of the massless Thirring model is incomplete because of the lack of the zero mode in the boson field.

We construct an effective Quantum Field Theory for the wrapping effects in 1+1 dimensional models of factorised scattering. The recently developed graph-theoretical approach to TBA gives the perturbative desctiption of this QFT. For the sake of simpl icity we limit ourselves to scattering matrices for a single neutral particle and no bound state poles, such as the sinh-Gordon one. On the other hand, in view of applications to AdS/CFT, we do not assume that the scattering matrix is of difference type. The effective QFT involves both bosonic and fermionic fields and possesses a symmetry which makes it one-loop exact. The corresponding path integral localises to a critical point determined by the TBA equation.

It was recently shown that the string theory duals of certain deformations of the N=4 gauge theory can be obtained by a combination of T-duality transformations and coordinate shifts. Here we work out the corresponding procedure of twisting the dual integrable spin chain and its Bethe ansatz. We derive the Bethe equations for the complete twisted N=4 gauge theory at one and higher loops. These have a natural generalization which we identify as twists involving the Cartan generators of the conformal algebra. The underlying model appears to be a form of noncommutative deformation of N=4 SYM.
