We show that the cobordism class of a polarization of Hodge module defines a natural transformation from the Grothendieck group of Hodge modules to the cobordism group of self-dual bounded complexes with real coefficients and constructible cohomology sheaves in a compatible way with pushforward by proper morphisms. This implies a new proof of the well-definedness of the natural transformation from the Grothendieck group of varieties over a given variety to the above cobordism group (with real coefficients). As a corollary, we get a slight extension of a conjecture of Brasselet, Schurmann and Yokura, showing that in the $bf Q$-homologically isolated singularity case, the homology $L$-class which is the specialization of the Hirzebruch class coincides with the intersection complex $L$-class defined by Goresky, MacPherson, and others if and only if the sum of the reduced Euler-Hodge signatures of the stalks of the shifted intersection complex vanishes. Here Hodge signature uses a polarization of Hodge structure, and it does not seem easy to define it by a purely topological method.

We prove that the $infty$-category of $mathrm{MGL}$-modules over any scheme is equivalent to the $infty$-category of motivic spectra with finite syntomic transfers. Using the recognition principle for infinite $mathbb{P}^1$-loop spaces, we deduce tha t very effective $mathrm{MGL}$-modules over a perfect field are equivalent to grouplike motivic spaces with finite syntomic transfers. Along the way, we describe any motivic Thom spectrum built from virtual vector bundles of nonnegative rank in terms of the moduli stack of finite quasi-smooth derived schemes with the corresponding tangential structure. In particular, over a regular equicharacteristic base, we show that $Omega^infty_{mathbb{P}^1}mathrm{MGL}$ is the $mathbb{A}^1$-homotopy type of the moduli stack of virtual finite flat local complete intersections, and that for $n>0$, $Omega^infty_{mathbb{P}^1} Sigma^n_{mathbb{P}^1} mathrm{MGL}$ is the $mathbb{A}^1$-homotopy type of the moduli stack of finite quasi-smooth derived schemes of virtual dimension $-n$.
In this article we are interested in morphisms without slope for mixed Hodge modules. We first show the commutativity of iterated nearby cycles and vanishing cycles applied to a mixed Hodge module in the case of a morphism without slope. Then we defi ne the notion strictly without slope for a mixed Hodge module and we show the preservation of this condition under the direct image by a proper morphism. As an application we prove the compatibility of the Hodge filtration and Kashiwara-Malgrange filtrations for some pure Hodge modules with support an hypersurface with quasi-ordinary singularities.
In this paper, we construct stable Bott--Samelson classes in the projective limit of the algebraic cobordism rings of full flag varieties, upon an initial choice of a reduced word in a given dimension. Each stable Bott--Samelson class is represented by a bounded formal power series modulo symmetric functions in positive degree. We make some explicit computations for those power series in the case of infinitesimal cohomology. We also obtain a formula of the restriction of Bott--Samelson classes to smaller flag varieties.
We prove that there exists a pencil of Enriques surfaces defined over $mathbb{Q}$ with non-algebraic integral Hodge classes of non-torsion type. This gives the first example of a threefold with the trivial Chow group of zero-cycles on which the integ ral Hodge conjecture fails. As an application, we construct a fourfold which gives the negative answer to a classical question of Murre on the universality of the Abel-Jacobi maps in codimension three.
In previous work we showed that the Hurwitz space of W(E_6)-covers of the projective line branched over 24 points dominates via the Prym-Tyurin map the moduli space A_6 of principally polarized abelian 6-folds. Here we determine the 25 Hodge classes on the Hurwitz space of W(E_6)-covers corresponding to the 25 irreducible representations of the Weyl group W(E_6). This result has direct implications to the intersection theory of the toroidal compactification A_6. In the final part of the paper, we present an alternative, elementary proof of our uniformization result on A_6 via Prym-Tyurin varieties of type W(E_6).
