We derive the exact solution of low energy limit of Bogoliubov equations for excitations of Bose-Einstein condensate in the presence of arbitrary potential barrier and maximum current of condensate. Using this solution, we give the explicit expressio n for the transmission coefficient against the potential barrier, which shows partial transmission in the low energy limit. The wavefunctions of excitations in the low energy limit do not coincide with that of the condensate. The absence of the perfect transmission in the critical current state originates from local enhancement of density fluctuations around the potential barrier.
We investigate the field-angle-dependent zero-energy density of states for YNi2B2C with using realistic Fermi surfaces obtained by band calculations. Both the 17th and 18th bands are taken into account. For calculating the oscillating density of stat es, we adopt the Kramer-Pesch approximation, which is found to improve accuracy in the oscillation amplitude. We show that superconducting gap structure determined by analyzing STM experiments is consistent with thermal transport and heat capacity measurements.

Hole propagator of spin 1/2 Calogero-Sutherland model is derived using Uglovs method, which maps the exact eigenfunctions of the model, called Yangian Gelfand-Zetlin basis, to a limit of Macdonald polynomials (gl_2-Jack polynomials). To apply this ma pping method to the calculation of 1-particle Greens function, we confirm that the sum of the field annihilation operator on Yangian Gelfand-Zetlin basis is transformed to the field annihilation operator on gl_2-Jack polynomials by the mapping. The resultant expression for hole propagator for finite-size system is written in terms of renormalized momenta and spin of quasi-holes and the expression in the thermodynamic limit coincides with the earlier result derived by another method. We also discuss the singularity of the spectral function for a specific coupling parameter where the hole propagator of spin Calogero-Sutherland model becomes equivalent to dynamical colour correlation function of SU(3) Haldane-Shastry model.
We investigate the transmission and reflection of Bose-condensate excitations in the low energy limit across a potential barrier separating two condensates with different densities. The Bogoliubov excitation in the low energy limit has the incident a ngle where the perfect transmission occurs. This condition corresponds to the Brewsters law for the electromagnetic wave. The total internal reflection of the Bogoliubov excitation is found to occur at a large incident angle in the low energy limit. The anomalous tunneling named by Kagan et al. [Yu. Kagan et al., Phys. Rev. Lett., 90, 130402 (2003)] can be understood in terms of the impedance matching. In the case of the normal incidence, comparison with the results in Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids is made.
We clarify the origin of anomalous tunneling [Yu. Kagan et al. Phys. Rev. Lett. 90 (2003) 130402] i.e. the perfect transmission at low energy limit of tunneling of phonon excitations across the potential barrier separating two Bose condensates. The p erfect transmission is a consequence of the coincidence of the wave function of the excited state at low energy limit and the macroscopic wave function of the condensate. We show that the perfect transmission at low energy occurs even at finite temperatures within the scheme of Popov approximation.
To determine the superconducting gap function of YNi2B2C, we calculate the local density of states (LDOS) around a single vortex core with the use of Eilenberger theory and the band structure calculated by local density approximation assuming various gap structures with point-nodes at different positions. We also calculate the angular-dependent heat capacity in the vortex state on the basis of the Doppler-Shift method. Comparing our results with the STM/STS experiment, the angular-dependent heat capacity and thermal conductivity, we propose the gap-structure of YNi2B2C, which has the point-nodes and gap minima along <110>. Our gap-structure is consistent with all results of angular-resolved experiments.
