We revisit the calculation of the strong couplings $D^*Dpi$ and $B^*Bpi$ from the QCD light-cone sum rules using the pion light-cone distribution amplitudes. The accuracy of the correlation function, calculated from the operator product expansion nea r the light-cone, is upgraded by taking into account the gluon radiative corrections to the twist-3 terms. The double spectral density of the correlation function, including the twist-2, 3 terms at ${cal O} (alpha_s)$ and the twist-4 LO terms, is presented in an analytical form for the first time. This form allows us to use vario
In this paper, we summarize the existing methods of solving the evolution equation of the leading-twist $B$-meson LCDA. Then, in the Mellin space, we derive a factorization formula with next-to-leading-logarithmic (NLL) resummation for the form facto rs $F_{A,V}$ in the $B to gamma ell u$ decay at leading power in $Lambda/m_b$. Furthermore, we investigate the power suppressed local contributions, factorizable non-local contributions (which are suppressed by $1/E_gamma$ and $1/m_b$), and soft contributions to the form factors. In the numerical analysis, which employs the two-loop-level hard function and the jet function, we find that both the resummation effect and the power corrections can sizably decrease the form factors. Finally, the integrated branching ratios are also calculated for comparison with future experimental data.
Employing the systematic framework of soft-collinear effective theory (SCET) we perform an improved calculation of the leading-power contributions to the double radiative $B_{d, , s}$-meson decay amplitudes in the heavy quark expansion. We then const ruct the QCD factorization formulae for the subleading power contributions arising from the energetic photon radiation off the constituent light-flavour quark of the bottom meson at tree level. Furthermore, we explore the factorization properties of the subleading power correction from the effective SCET current $J^{(A2)}$ at ${cal O} (alpha_s^0)$. The higher-twist contributions to the $B_{d, , s} to gamma gamma $ helicity form factors from the two-particle and three-particle bottom-meson distribution amplitudes are evaluated up to the twist-six accuracy. In addition, the subleading power weak-annihilation contributions from both the current-current and QCD penguin operators are taken into account at the one-loop accuracy. We proceed to apply the operator-production-expansion-controlled dispersion relation for estimating the power-suppressed soft contributions to the double radiative $B_{d, , s}$-meson decay form factors. Phenomenological explorations of the radiative $B_{d, , s} to gamma , gamma$ decay observables in the presence of the neutral-meson mixing, including the CP-averaged branching fractions, the polarization fractions and the time-dependent CP asymmetries, are carried out subsequently with an emphasis on the numerical impacts of the newly computed ingredients together with the theory uncertainties from the shape parameters of the HQET bottom-meson distribution amplitudes.
The leptonic radiative decay $B to gamma l u$ is of great importance in the determination of $B$ meson wave functions, and evaluating the form factors $ F_{V,A}$ are the essential problem on the study of this channel. We computed next-to-leading powe r corrections to the form factors within the framework of PQCD approach, including the power suppressed hard kernel, the contribution from a complete set of three-particle $B$ meson wave functions up to twist-4 and two-particle off light-cone wave functions, the $1/m_b$ corrections in heavy quark effective theory, and the contribution from hadronic structure of photon. In spite of large theoretical uncertainties, the overall power suppressed contributions decreases about $50%$ of the leading power result. The $lambda_B$ dependence of the integrated branching ratio is reduced after including the subleading power contributions, thus the power corrections lead to more ambiguity in the determination of $lambda_B$ from $B to gamma l u$ decay.
Within the framework of the perturbative QCD approach, we calculate the time-like $B_cB_c(B_c^*)$ form factors $F(Q^2)$ and $A_2(Q^2)$. We include relativistic corrections and QCD corrections, either of which can give about $20%$ correction to the le ading-order contribution, but there are cancellation effects between them. We calculate the cross sections of the $e^+e^-to B_c^-B_c^+(B_c^{*+})$ processes. The cross sections are enhanced at the $Z$ pole to be $sigma^{PP}(Q=m_Z) sim 1.3times10^{-5}text{pb}$ and $sigma^{PV}(Q=m_Z) sim 2.5times10^{-5}text{pb}$, which are still too small to be detected by proposed $e^+e^-$ colliders such as the Circular Electron Positron Collider.
We compute perturbative QCD corrections to $B to D$ form factors at leading power in $Lambda/m_b$, at large hadronic recoil, from the light-cone sum rules (LCSR) with $B$-meson distribution amplitudes in HQET. QCD factorization for the vacuum-to-$B$- meson correlation function with an interpolating current for the $D$-meson is demonstrated explicitly at one loop with the power counting scheme $m_c sim {cal O} left (sqrt{Lambda , m_b} right ) $. The jet functions encoding information of the hard-collinear dynamics in the above-mentioned correlation function are complicated by the appearance of an additional hard-collinear scale $m_c$, compared to the counterparts entering the factorization formula of the vacuum-to-$B$-meson correction function for the construction of $B to pi$ from factors. Inspecting the next-to-leading-logarithmic sum rules for the form factors of $B to D ell u$ indicates that perturbative corrections to the hard-collinear functions are more profound than that for the hard functions, with the default theory inputs, in the physical kinematic region. We further compute the subleading power correction induced by the three-particle quark-gluon distribution amplitudes of the $B$-meson at tree level employing the background gluon field approach. The LCSR predictions for the semileptonic $B to D ell u$ form factors are then extrapolated to the entire kinematic region with the $z$-series parametrization. Phenomenological implications of our determinations for the form factors $f_{BD}^{+, 0}(q^2)$ are explored by investigating the (differential) branching fractions and the $R(D)$ ratio of $B to D ell u$ and by determining the CKM matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ from the total decay rate of $B to D mu u_{mu}$.
Within the framework of $B$-meson light-cone sum rules, we compute the one-loop level QCD corrections to $Bto pi$ transition form factors at small $ q^{2}$ region, in implement of a complete renormalization group equation evolution. To solve the reno rmalization group equations, we work at the dual space where the anomalous dimensions of the jet function and the light-cone distribution amplitudes are diagonal. With the complete renormalization group equation evolution, the form factors are almost independent of the factorization scale, which is shown numerically. We also extrapolate the results of the form factors to the whole $q^2$ region, and compare their behavior with other studies.
