This contribution covers three recent results on deep-inelastic scattering at HERA: (i) new measurements of the proton longitudinal structure function $F_L$ from H1 and ZEUS experiments, (ii) a dedicated NC cross section measurement from ZEUS in the region of high Bjorken $x$, and (iii) preliminary combination results of all HERA inclusive data published up to now by H1 and ZEUS, taking into account the experimental correlations between measurements.

This talk covers three contributions from H1: Measurement of the inclusive e^pm p scattering cross section at high inelasticity y and of the structure function F_L, Determination of the integrated luminosity at HERA using elastic QED Compton events a nd Inclusive deep inelastic scattering at high Q2 with longitudinally polarized lepton beams at HERA. These are new measurements mainly based on the full HREA-II data but include also those from HERA-I in the combination whenever it is relevant. The main results of these measurements are briefly summarized here.
An increased precision of HERA data allows studies of exclusive processes in their transition from soft to hard interactions as well as in the pQCD domain. The recent measurements of vector meson production and Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS ) performed by the H1 and ZEUS experiments are reported and compared to pQCD expectations.

A search for events with one or more isolated leptons in the final state is performed on a data sample collected in e+-p collisions with the H1 and ZEUS detectors at the HERA collider. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of ~1 fb- 1, representing the full HERA high-energy data set. The yields of single, di- and tri-lepton events are measured and compared to the Standard Model predictions, looking for possible deviations. No significant discrepancy with respect to the Standard Model expectations is observed.

The analysis of $W$ production and the search for anomalous single top production is performed with the H1 detector at HERA with an integrated luminosity of 0.5 fb$^{-1}$, consisting of the complete high energy data from the HERA programme. Productio n cross section measurements of single $W$ production, as well as $W$ polarisation fractions in events containing isolated leptons and missing transverse momentum are also presented. In the context of a search for single top production an upper limit on the top production cross section $sigma_{epto etX} < 0.16$ pb is established at the 95% confidence level, corresponding to an upper bound on the anomalous magnetic coupling $kappa_{tugamma} < 0.14$.

A search for single top production in ep collisions using the complete high energy data from HERA is presented. This search is based on the analysis of events containing isolated leptons (electrons or muons) and missing transverse momentum PTmiss. In the absence of a signal, an upper limit on the top production cross section sigma_ep -> etX < 0.16 pb is established at the 95% confidence level, corresponding to an upper bound on the anomalous magnetic coupling kappa_tug < 0.14. The search is complemented by a search for events containing an isolated tau lepton and PTmiss and the measurement of W boson polarisation fractions.

The high energy program of the HERA collider ended in March 2007. In total the H1 and ZEUS experiments collected an integrated luminosity of about 1 fb$^{-1}$. Recent results of model independent searches for new physics from both experiments are pre sented. Specifically, studies of the events with an isolated lepton and missing transverse momentum and multi-lepton topologies, where H1 and ZEUS data are combined, and a general signature based search are discussed.

We present a search for excited neutrinos and electrons using all data collected by the H1 experiment at HERA at a center-of-mass energy of 320 GeV with an integrated luminosity of up to 435 pb$^{-1}$. No evidence for excited neutrino or electron pro duction is found. Mass dependent exclusion limits are determined for the ratio of the coupling to the compositeness scale, $f/{Lambda}$. These limits greatly extend the excluded region to higher masses than has been possible in previous searches.

Inclusive jet production is studied in neutral current deep-inelastic positron-proton scattering at large four momentum transfer squared Q^2>150 GeV^2 with the H1 detector at HERA. The measurements are found to be well described by calculations at ne xt-to-leading order in perturbative QCD. The running of the strong coupling is demonstrated and the value of alpha_s(M_Z) is determined.

The high energy programme of the HERA collider ended in March 2007. During the whole HERA programme, a combined total integrated luminosity of 1 fb$^{-1}$ was collected by the H1 and ZEUS experiments. In this context, an overview of the most recent r esults of both experiments concerning searches for new physics is presented. The topics covered are searches for contact interactions, leptoquarks and excited leptons, as well as studies of the isolated lepton and multi-lepton topologies, and a general signature based search.
