The Quantum Wheeler-DeWitt operator can be derived from an affine commutation relation via the affine group representation formalism for gravity, wherein a family of gauge-diffeomorphism invariant affine coherent states are constructed from a fiducia l state. In this article, the role of the fiducial state is played by a regularized Gaussian peaked on densitized triad configurations corresponding to 3-metrics of constant spatial scalar curvature. The affine group manifold consists of points in the upper half plane, wherein each point is labeled by two local gravitational degrees of freedom from the Yamabe construction. From this viewpoint, here we show that the translational subgroup of affine coherent states constitute a set of exact solutions of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation. The affine translational parameter $b$ admits a physical interpretation analogous to a continuous plane wave energy spectrum, where the curvature constant $k$ plays the role of the energy. This result shows that the affine translational subgroup generates transformations in the curvature constant $k$ from the Yamabe problem, while $k$ is inert under the kinematic symmetries of gravity.

In this paper we perform a full gauge-fixing of the phase space of four dimensional General Relativity (GR) of Lorentzian signature for the time symmetric case, using the CDJ variables. In particular, the Gauss law constraint in the chosen gauge meet s the conditions of the Cauchy-Kovalevskaya theorem for first order, quasilinear PDEs. This implies the existence of a unique analytic solution to the initial value constraints problem in some region of 3-space, featuring four free functions per spacetime point. This result constitutes a step toward addressal of the reduced phase space problem of GR.

Using the action for the instanton representation of Plebanski gravity (IRPG), we construct minisuperspace solutions restricted to diagonal variables. We have treated the Euclidean signature case with zero cosmological constant, depicting a gravitati onal analogy to free particle motion. This paper provides a testing ground for the IRPG for a simple case, which will be extended to the full theory in future work.

Using the instanton representation method, we re-construct graviton solutions about DeSitter spacetime. We have used this example as a testing arena to expose the internal structure of the method and to establish that it works for known solutions. Th is paper is a precursor for its application to the construction of new General Relativity solutions in future work.
