In the perfect conductivity problem of composites, the electric field may become arbitrarily large as $varepsilon$, the distance between the inclusions and the matrix boundary, tends to zero. The main contribution of this paper lies in developing a clear and concise procedure to establish a boundary asymptotic formula of the concentration for perfect conductors with arbitrary shape in all dimensions, which explicitly exhibits the singularities of the blow-up factor $Q[varphi]$ introduced in [29] by picking the boundary data $varphi$ of $k$-order growth. In particular, the smoothness of inclusions required for at least $C^{3,1}$ in [27] is weakened to $C^{2,alpha}$, $0<alpha<1$ here.

In high-contrast elastic composites, it is vitally important to investigate the stress concentration from an engineering point of view. The purpose of this paper is to show that the blowup rate of the stress depends not only on the shape of the inclusions, but also on the given boundary data, when hard inclusions are close to matrix boundary. First, when the boundary of inclusion is partially relatively parallel to that of matrix, we establish the gradient estimates for Lam{e} systems with partially infinite coefficients and find that they are bounded for some boundary data $varphi$ while some $varphi$ will increase the blow-up rate. In order to identify such novel blowup phenomenon, we further consider the general $m$-convex inclusion cases and uncover the dependence of blow-up rate on the inclusions convexity $m$ and the boundary datas order of growth $k$ in all dimensions. In particular, the sharpness of these blow-up rates is also presented for some prescribed boundary data.
We consider the Lam{e} system arising from high-contrast composite materials whose inclusions (fibers) are nearly touching the matrix boundary. The stress, which is the gradient of the solution, always concentrates highly in the narrow regions between the inclusions and the external boundary. This paper aims to provide a complete characterization in terms of the singularities of the stress concentration by accurately capturing all the blow-up factor matrices and making clear the dependence on the Lam{e} constants and the curvature parameters of geometry. Moreover, the precise asymptotic expansions of the stress concentration are also presented in the presence of a strictly convex inclusion close to touching the external boundary for the convenience of application.
In this paper, we are concerned with the gradient estimate of the electric field due to two nearly touching dielectric inclusions, which is a central topic in the theory of composite materials. We derive accurate quantitative characterisations of the gradient fields in the transverse electromagnetic case within the quasi-static regime, which clearly indicate the optimal blowup rate or non-blowup of the gradient fields in different scenarios. There are mainly two novelties of our study. First, the sizes of the two material inclusions may be of different scales. Second, we consider our study in the quasi-static regime, whereas most of the existing studies are concerned with the static case.
A matrix convex set is a set of the form $mathcal{S} = cup_{ngeq 1}mathcal{S}_n$ (where each $mathcal{S}_n$ is a set of $d$-tuples of $n times n$ matrices) that is invariant under UCP maps from $M_n$ to $M_k$ and under formation of direct sums. We study the geometry of matrix convex sets and their relationship to completely positive maps and dilation theory. Key ingredients in our approach are polar duality in the sense of Effros and Winkler, matrix ranges in the sense of Arveson, and concrete constructions of scaled commuting normal dilation for tuples of self-adjoint operators, in the sense of Helton, Klep, McCullough and Schweighofer. Given two matrix convex sets $mathcal{S} = cup_{n geq 1} mathcal{S}_n,$ and $mathcal{T} = cup_{n geq 1} mathcal{T}_n$, we find geometric conditions on $mathcal{S}$ or on $mathcal{T}$, such that $mathcal{S}_1 subseteq mathcal{T}_1$ implies that $mathcal{S} subseteq Cmathcal{S}$ for some constant $C$. For instance, under various symmetry conditions on $mathcal{S}$, we can show that $C$ above can be chosen to equal $d$, the number of variables, and in some cases this is sharp. We also find an essentially unique self-dual matrix convex set $mathcal{D}$, the self-dual matrix ball, for which corresponding inclusion and dilation results hold with constant $C=sqrt{d}$. Our results have immediate implications to spectrahedral inclusion problems studied recently by Helton, Klep, McCullough and Schweighofer. Our constants do not depend on the ranks of the pencils determining the free spectrahedra in question, but rather on the number of variables $d$. There are also implications to the problem of existence of (unital) completely positive maps with prescribed values on a set of operators.

In this paper, we establish the asymptotic expressions for the gradient of a solution to the Lam{e} systems with partially infinity coefficients as two rigid $C^{1,gamma}$-inclusions are very close but not touching. The novelty of these asymptotics, which improve and make complete the previous results of Chen-Li (JFA 2021), lies in that they show the optimality of the gradient blow-up rate in dimensions greater than two.
