As research aims to clarify the rights contained on the ship from ownership, mortgage and seizure, while specifying the legal position of the ship in the maritime areas subject to sovereignty. The research reached many results, the most important of which are: 1-There is a contradiction between international conventions, national legislation, and international jurisprudence opinions about defining the concept of a ship. 2-The Jamaica Agreement of 1982 divided the sea into different maritime zones. This division resulted in regulating the legal status of the ship while in these areas. 3-Assuming that the ship is a movable property of a special nature, it has become a place because some of the rights contained in the property, such as mortgage, seizure and insurance, are returned to it.
