Beauty quarks are considered as one of the best probes of the strongly interacting medium created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions because they are predominantly produced via initial hard scatterings. Our measurements of B mesons productions provide information on the diffusion of beauty quarks and the flavor dependence of in-medium energy loss. In these studies, clarifying the hadronization mechanism is crucial for understanding the transport properties of beauty quarks. We propose to show our experimental results on three sets of particles: nonprompt $J/psi$ and $D^0$, $B^0_s$ and $B^+$, and prompt $D^+_s$ and $D^0$. Our measurements of $B^0_s$ production can shed light on the mechanisms of beauty recombination in the medium. In addition, the measurements of mesons productions containing both strange and beauty quarks can provide more information about strangeness enhancement in the quark-gluon plasma. The ratio of $B^0_s$ over $B^+$ nuclear modification factors at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV, using fully reconstructed B mesons with the CMS detector, are presented. We will also show the nonprompt $J/psi$ and $D^0$ from the partial B mesons decay chains as well as our precise measurement the prompt $D^+_s$ to $D^0$ ratio in pp and PbPb collisions.

We present a systematic analysis of transverse momentum $(p_{T})$ spectra of the strange hadrons in different multiplicity events produced in pp collision at $sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV, pPb collision at $sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV and PbPb collision at $sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV. Both the single and differential freeze out scenarios of strange hadrons $K^0_s$, $Lambda$ and $Xi^-$ are considered while fitting using a Tsallis distribution which is modified to include transverse flow. The $p_{T}$ distributions of these hadrons in different systems are characterized in terms of the parameters namely, Tsallis temperature $(T)$, power $(n)$ and average transverse flow velocity $(beta)$. It is found that for all the systems, transverse flow increases as we move from lower to higher multiplicity events. In the case of the differential freeze-out scenario, the degree of thermalization remains similar for events of different multiplicity classes in all the three systems. The Tsallis temperature increases with the mass of the hadrons and also increases with the event multiplicity in pp and pPb system but shows little variation with the multiplicity in PbPb system. In the case of the single freeze-out scenario, the difference between small systems (pp, pPb) and PbPb system becomes more evident. The high multiplicity PbPb events show higher degree of thermalization as compared to the events of pp and pPb systems. The trend of variation of the temperature in PbPb system with event multiplicity is opposite to what is found in the pp and pPb systems.

Strange quark and particle production is studied at the LHC with unprecedented high beam energies in both heavy-ion and proton-proton collisions: on the one hand, strangeness is used for investigating chemical equilibration and bulk properties; on the other hand, strange particles contribute to probe different kinematical domains, from the one where collective phenomena are at play up to the region dominated by pQCD-calculable processes. We highlight the suitability of the ALICE experiment for this topic, presenting our latest measurements and comparing them to models.
We present strange particle spectra and yields measured at mid-rapidity in $sqrt{text{s}}=200$ GeV proton-proton ($p+p$) collisions at RHIC. We find that the previously observed universal transverse mass ($mathrm{m_{T}}equivsqrt{mathrm{p_{T}}^{2}+mathrm{m}^{2}}$) scaling of hadron production in $p+p$ collisions seems to break down at higher mt and that there is a difference in the shape of the mt spectrum between baryons and mesons. We observe mid-rapidity anti-baryon to baryon ratios near unity for $Lambda$ and $Xi$ baryons and no dependence of the ratio on transverse momentum, indicating that our data do not yet reach the quark-jet dominated region. We show the dependence of the mean transverse momentum (mpt) on measured charged particle multiplicity and on particle mass and infer that these trends are consistent with gluon-jet dominated particle production. The data are compared to previous measurements from CERN-SPS, ISR and FNAL experiments and to Leading Order (LO) and Next to Leading order (NLO) string fragmentation model predictions. We infer from these comparisons that the spectral shapes and particle yields from $p+p$ collisions at RHIC energies have large contributions from gluon jets rather than quark jets.
The thermal multihadron production observed in different high energy collisions poses two basic problems: (1) why do even elementary collisions with comparatively few secondaries (e+e- annihilation) show thermal behaviour, and 2) why is there in such interactions a suppression of strange particle production? We show that the recently proposed mechanism of thermal hadron production through Hawking-Unruh radiation can naturally account for both. The event horizon of colour confinement leads to thermal behaviour, but the resulting temperature depends on the strange quark content of the produced hadrons, causing a deviation from full equilibrium and hence a suppression of strange particle production. We apply the resulting formalism to multihadron production in e+e- annihilation over a wide energy range and make a comprehensive analysis of the data in the conventional statistical hadronization model and the modified Hawking-Unruh formulation. We show that this formulation provides a very good description of the measured hadronic abundances, fully determined in terms of the string tension and the bare strange quark mass; it contains no adjustable parameters.

Strange hadrons, especially multi-strange hadrons are good probes for the early partonic stage of heavy ion collisions due to their small hadronic cross sections. In this paper, I give a brief review on the elliptic flow measurements of strange and multi-strange hadrons in relativistic heavy ion collisions at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
