In this contribution, a first look at simulations using maximally twisted mass Wilson fermions at the physical point is presented. A lattice action including clover and twisted mass terms is presented and the Monte Carlo histories of one run with two mass-degenerate flavours at a single lattice spacing are shown. Measurements from the light and heavy-light pseudoscalar sectors are compared to previous $N_f = 2$ results and their phenomenological values. Finally, the strategy for extending simulations to $N_f = 2 + 1 + 1$ is outlined.

Lattice QCD calculations of baryon forces are performed for the first time with (almost) physical quark masses. $N_f = 2+1$ dynamical clover fermion gauge configurations are generated at the lattice spacing of $a simeq 0.085$ fm on a $(96 a)^4 simeq (8.2 {rm fm})^4$ lattice with quark masses corresponding to $(m_pi, m_K) simeq (146, 525)$ MeV. Baryon forces are calculated using the time-dependent HAL QCD method. In this report, we study $XiXi$ and $NN$ systems both in $^1S_0$ and $^3S_1$-$^3D_1$ channels, and the results for the central and tensor forces as well as phase shifts in the $XiXi$ $(^1S_0)$ channel are presented.
We present a comprehensive investigation of light meson physics using maximally twisted mass fermions for two mass-degenerate quark flavours. By employing four values of the lattice spacing, spatial lattice extents ranging from 2.0 fm to 2.5 fm and pseudo scalar masses in the range 280 MeV to 650 MeV we control the major systematic effects of our calculation. This enables us to confront our data with chiral perturbation theory and extract low energy constants of the effective chiral Lagrangian and derived quantities, such as the light quark mass, with high precision.
In this paper we explore the computation of topological susceptibility and $eta$ meson mass in $N_f=2$ flavor QCD using lattice techniques with physical value of the pion mass as well as larger pion mass values. We observe that the physical point can be reached without a significant increase in the statistical noise. The mass of the $eta$ meson can be obtained from both fermionic two point functions and topological charge density correlation functions, giving compatible results. With the pion mass dependence of the $eta$ mass being flat we arrive at $M_{eta}= 772(18) mathrm{MeV}$ without an explicit continuum limit. For the topological susceptibility we observe a linear dependence on $M_pi^2$, however, with an additional constant stemming from lattice artifacts.
We present an investigation of the electromagnetic pion form factor, $F_pi(Q^2)$, at small values of the four-momentum transfer $Q^2$ ($lesssim 0.25$ GeV$^2$), based on the gauge configurations generated by European Twisted Mass Collaboration with $N_f = 2$ twisted-mass quarks at maximal twist including a clover term. Momentum is injected using non-periodic boundary conditions and the calculations are carried out at a fixed lattice spacing ($a simeq 0.09$ fm) and with pion masses equal to its physical value, 240 MeV and 340 MeV. Our data are successfully analyzed using Chiral Perturbation Theory at next-to-leading order in the light-quark mass. For each pion mass two different lattice volumes are used to take care of finite size effects. Our final result for the squared charge radius is $langle r^2 rangle_pi = 0.443~(29)$ fm$^2$, where the error includes several sources of systematic errors except the uncertainty related to discretization effects. The corresponding value of the SU(2) chiral low-energy constant $overline{ell}_6$ is equal to $overline{ell}_6 = 16.2 ~ (1.0)$.
We investigate the charmed baryon mass spectrum using the relativistic heavy quark action on 2+1 flavor PACS-CS configurations previously generated on $32^3 times 64$ lattice. The dynamical up-down and strange quark masses are tuned to their physical values, reweighted from those employed in the configuration generation. At the physical point, the inverse lattice spacing determined from the $Omega$ baryon mass gives $a^{-1}=2.194(10)$ GeV, and thus the spatial extent becomes $L = 32 a = 2.88(1)$ fm. Our results for the charmed baryon masses are consistent with experimental values, except for the mass of $Xi_{cc}$, which has been measured by only one experimental group so far and has not been confirmed yet by others. In addition, we report values of other doubly and triply charmed baryon masses, which have never been measured experimentally.
