XML stands for the Extensible Markup Language. It is a markup language for documents, Nowadays XML is a tool to develop and likely to become a much more common tool for sharing data and store. XML can communicate structured information to other users. In other words, if a group of users agree to implement the same kinds of tags to describe a certain kind of information, XML applications can assist these users in communicating their information in an more robust and efficient manner. XML can make it easier to exchange information between cooperating entities. In this paper we will present the XML technique by fourth factors Strength of XML, XML Parser, XML Goals and Types of XML Parsers.

With numerous specialised technologies available to industry, it has become increasingly frequent for computer systems to be composed of heterogeneous components built over, and using, different technologies and languages. While this enables developers to use the appropriate technologies for specific contexts, it becomes more challenging to ensure the correctness of the overall system. In this paper we propose a framework to enable extensible technology agnostic runtime verification and we present an extension of polyLarva, a runtime-verification tool able to handle the monitoring of heterogeneous-component systems. The approach is then applied to a case study of a component-based artefact using different technologies, namely C and Java.
The amount of large-scale scientific computing software is dramatically increasing. In this work, we designed a new language, named feature query language (FQL), to collect and extract software features from a quick static code analysis. We designed and implemented an FQL toolkit to automatically detect and present the software features using an extensible query repository. Several large-scale, high performance computing (HPC) scientific codes have been used in the paper to demonstrate the HPC-related feature extraction and information collection. Although we emphasized the HPC features in the study, the toolkit can be easily extended to answer general software feature questions, such as coding pattern and hardware dependency.
The prevailing net-centric environment demands and enables modeling and simulation to combine efforts from numerous disciplines. Software techniques and methodology, in particular service-oriented architecture, provide such an opportunity. Service-oriented simulation has been an emerging paradigm following on from object- and process-oriented methods. However, the ad-hoc frameworks proposed so far generally focus on specific domains or systems and each has its pros and cons. They are capable of addressing different issues within service-oriented simulation from different viewpoints. It is increasingly important to describe and evaluate the progress of numerous frameworks. In this paper, we propose a novel three-dimensional reference model for a service-oriented simulation paradigm. The model can be used as a guideline or an analytic means to find the potential and possible future directions of the current simulation frameworks. In particular, the model inspects the crossover between the disciplines of modeling and simulation, service-orientation, and software/systems engineering. Based on the model, we present a comprehensive survey on several classical service-oriented simulation frameworks, including formalism-based, model-driven, interoperability protocol based, eXtensible Modeling and Simulation Framework (XMSF), and Open Grid Services Architecture (OGSA) based frameworks etc. The comparison of these frameworks is also performed. Finally the significance both in academia and practice are presented and future directions are pointed out.
Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is believed to play a significant role in our future society governed in a decentralized way. In this article, we first explain the definitions and preliminaries of DAO. Then, we conduct a literature review of the existing studies of DAO published in the recent few years. Through the literature review, we find out that a comprehensive survey towards the state-of-the-art studies of DAO is still missing. To fill this gap, we perform such an overview by identifying and classifying the most valuable proposals and perspectives closely related to the combination of DAO and blockchain technologies. We anticipate that this survey can help researchers, engineers, and educators acknowledge the cutting-edge development of blockchain-related DAO technologies.
This paper presents the design of the machine learning architecture that underlies the Alexa Skills Kit (ASK) a large scale Spoken Language Understanding (SLU) Software Development Kit (SDK) that enables developers to extend the capabilities of Amazons virtual assistant, Alexa. At Amazon, the infrastructure powers over 25,000 skills deployed through the ASK, as well as AWSs Amazon Lex SLU Service. The ASK emphasizes flexibility, predictability and a rapid iteration cycle for third party developers. It imposes inductive biases that allow it to learn robust SLU models from extremely small and sparse datasets and, in doing so, removes significant barriers to entry for software developers and dialogue systems researchers.
