We consider the continuum limit of a moose model corresponding to a generalization to N sites of the Degenerate BESS model. The five dimensional formulation emerging in this limit is a realization of a RS1 type model with SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R in the bulk, broken by boundary conditions and a vacuum expectation value on the infrared brane. A low energy effective Lagrangian is derived by means of the holographic technique and corresponding bounds on the model parameters are obtained.

We explore how to protect extra dimensional models from large flavor changing neutral currents by using bulk and brane flavor symmetries. We show that a GIM mechanism can be built in to warped space models such as Randall-Sundrum or composite Higgs models if flavor mixing is introduced via UV brane kinetic mixings for right handed quarks. We give a realistic implementation both for a model with minimal flavor violation and one with next-to-minimal flavor violation. The latter does not suffer from a CP problem. We consider some of the existing experimental constraints on these models implied by precision electroweak tests.
The Higgs mechanism well describes the electroweak symmetry breaking in nature. We consider a possibility that the microscopic origin of the Higgs field is UV physics of QCD. We construct a UV complete model of a higher dimensional Yang-Mills theory as a deformation of a deconstructed (2,0) theory in six dimensions, and couple the top and bottom (s)quarks to it. We see that the Higgs fields appear as magnetic degrees of freedom. The model can naturally explain the masses of the Higgs boson and the top quark. The rho meson-like resonances with masses such as 1 TeV are predicted.
We describe a novel approach to dimensional reduction in classical field theory. Inspired by ideas from noncommutative geometry, we introduce extended algebras of differential forms over space-time, generalized exterior derivatives and generalized connections associated with the geometry of space-times with discrete extra dimensions. We apply our formalism to theories of gauge- and gravitational fields and find natural geometrical origins for an axion- and a dilaton field, as well as a Higgs field.
We discuss a realization of a small field inflation based on string inspired supergravities. In theories accompanying extra dimensions, compactification of them with small radii is required for realistic situations. Since the extra dimension can have a periodicity, there will appear (quasi-)periodic functions under transformations of moduli of the extra dimensions in low energy scales. Such a periodic property can lead to a UV completion of so-called multi-natural inflation model where inflaton potential consists of a sum of multiple sinusoidal functions with a decay constant smaller than the Planck scale. As an illustration, we construct a SUSY breaking model, and then show that such an inflaton potential can be generated by a sum of world sheet instantons in intersecting brane models on extra dimensions containing $T^2/{mathbb Z}_2$ orbifold. We show also predictions of cosmic observables by numerical analyzes.

In this paper we study the renormalization effects of the quark flavor mixings and the Higgs self- coupling in a five dimensional model where the boson fields are propagating in the bulk whilst the matter fields are localized to the brane. We first explore the evolution behaviors for the Cabibbo- Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix in this scenario. Then, in light of the recent LHC bounds on the Higgs mass, we find that the Higgs self-coupling evolution has an improved vacuum stability condition, which is in contrast with that of Standard Model and the Universal Extra Dimension scenario, where the theory has a much lower ultraviolet cut-off.
