At the Large Hadron Collider, we prove the feasibility to detect pair production of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson $h$ of Type II 2-Higgs Doublet Models through $q q^{()}to q q^{()} {hh}$ (vector-boson fusion). We also show that, through the $hhto 4b$ decay channel in presence of heavy-flavour tagging, further exploiting forward/backward jet sampling, one has direct access to the $lambda_{Hhh}$ triple Higgs coupling -- which constrains the form of the Higgs potential.

At the Large Hadron Collider, we prove the feasibility to detect pair production of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson h of a Type II 2-Higgs Doublet Model through the process q bar q --> Vhh (Higgs-strahlung, V=W+-,Z), in presence of two h --> b bar b decays. We also show that, through such production and decay channels, one has direct access to the following Higgs self-couplings, thus enabling one to distinguish between a standard and the Supersymmetric version of the above model: lambda_(Hhh) -- which constrains the form of the Higgs potential -- as well as lambda_(W+- H+- h) and lambda_(Z A h) -- which are required by gauge invariance. Unfortunately, such claims cannot be extended to the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, where the extraction of the same signals is impossible.
We investigate Higgs-boson pair production at the LHC when the final state system arises from decays of vector-like quarks coupling to the Higgs boson and the Standard Model quarks. Our phenomenological study includes next-to-leading-order QCD corrections, which are important to guarantee accurate predictions, and focuses on a detailed analysis of a di-Higgs signal in the four $b$-jet channel. Whereas existing Run II CMS and ATLAS analyses are not specifically designed for probing non-resonant, vector-like-quark induced, di-Higgs production, we show that they nevertheless offer some potential for these modes. We then investigate the possibility of distinguishing between the various di-Higgs production mechanisms by exploiting the kinematic properties of the signal.
We study the double Higgs boson production processes $e^+e^- to hh fbar{f}$ ($f eq t$) with $h$ being the 125 GeV Higgs boson in the two-Higgs-doublet model with a softly-broken $Z_2$ symmetry. The cross section can be significantly enhanced, typically a few hundreds percent, as compared to the standard model prediction due to resonant effects of heavy neutral Higgs bosons, which becomes important in the case without the alignment limit. We find a strong correlation between the enhancement factor of the cross section and the scaling factor of the $hfbar{f}$ couplings under constraints from perturbative unitarity, vacuum stability and current experimental data at the LHC as well as the electroweak precision data.

Fixed-order QCD radiative corrections to the vector-boson and Higgs associated production channels, pp -> VH (V=W, Z), at hadron colliders are well understood. We combine higher order perturbative QCD calculations with soft-gluon resummation of both threshold logarithms and logarithms which are important at low transverse momentum of the VH pair. We study the effects of both types of logarithms on the scale dependence of the total cross section and on various kinematic distributions. The next-to-next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (NNNLL) resummed total cross sections at the LHC are almost identical to the fixed-order perturbative next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) rates, indicating the excellent convergence of the perturbative QCD series. Resummation of the VH transverse momentum (p_T) spectrum provides reliable results for small values of p_T and suggests that implementing a jet-veto will significantly decrease the cross sections.
We calculate the cross section of Higgs boson pair production at a photon collider in the two Higgs doublet model. We focus on the scenario in which the lightest CP even Higgs boson ($h$) has the standard model like couplings to the gauge bosons. We take into account the one-loop correction to the $hhh$ coupling as well as additional one-loop diagrams due to charged Higgs bosons to the $gammagammato hh$ helicity amplitudes. It is found that the full cross section can be enhanced by both these effects to a considerable level. We discuss the impact of these corrections on the $hhh$ coupling measurement at the photon collider.
