Study the behaviour and the evolution of the cosmological field equations in an homogeneous and anisotropic spacetime with two scalar fields coupled in the kinetic term. Specifically, the kinetic energy for the scalar field Lagrangian is that of the Chiral model and defines a two-dimensional maximally symmetric space with negative curvature. For the background space we assume the locally rotational spacetime which describes the Bianchi I, the Bianchi III and the Kantowski-Sachs anisotropic spaces. We work on the $H$% -normalization and we investigate the stationary points and their stability. For the exponential potential we find a new exact solution which describes an anisotropic inflationary solution. The anisotropic inflation is always unstable, while future attractors are the scaling inflationary solution or the hyperbolic inflation. For scalar field potential different from the exponential, the de Sitter universe exists.

Solution generating techniques for general relativity with a conformally (and minimally) coupled scalar field are pushed forward to build a wide class of asymptotically flat, axisymmetric and stationary spacetimes continuously connected to Kerr. This family contains, amongst other things, rotating extensions of the Bekenstein black hole and also its angular and mass multipolar generalisations. Further addition of NUT charge is also discussed.
We consider here the existence and structure of trapped surfaces, horizons and singularities in spherically symmetric static massless scalar field spacetimes. Earlier studies have shown that there exists no event horizon in such spacetimes if the scalar field is asymptotically flat. We extend this result here to show that this is true in general for spherically symmetric static massless scalar field spacetimes, whether the scalar field is asymptotically flat or not. Other general properties and certain important features of these models are also discussed.

This paper treats nonrelativistic matter and a scalar field $phi$ with a monotonically decreasing potential minimally coupled to gravity in flat Friedmann-Lema^{i}tre-Robertson-Walker cosmology. The field equations are reformulated as a three-dimensional dynamical system on an extended compact state space, complemented with cosmographic diagrams. A dynamical systems analysis provides global dynamical results describing possible asymptotic behavior. It is shown that one should impose emph{global and asymptotic} bounds on $lambda=-V^{-1},dV/dphi$ to obtain viable cosmological models that continuously deform $Lambda$CDM cosmology. In particular we introduce a regularized inverse power-law potential as a simple specific example.
The important role of scalar field in cosmology was noticed by a number of authors. Due to the fact that the scalar field possesses zero spin, it was basically considered in isotropic cosmological models. If considered in an anisotropic model, the linear scalar field does not lead to isotropization of expansion process. One needs to introduce scalar field with nonlinear potential for the isotropization process to take place. In this paper the general form of scalar field potentials leading to the asymptotic isotropization in case of Bianchi type-I cosmological model, and inflationary regime in case of isotropic space-time is obtained. In doing so we solved both direct and inverse problem, where by direct problem we mean to find metric functions and scalar field for the given potential, whereas, the inverse problem means to find the potential and scalar field for the given metric function. The scalar field potentials leading to the inflation and isotropization were found both for harmonic and proper synchronic time.

We exactly solve the Wheeler-DeWitt equation for the closed homogeneous and isotropic quantum cosmology in the presence of a conformally coupled scalar field and in the context of the generalized uncertainty principle. This form of generalized uncertainty principle is motivated by the black hole physics and it predicts a minimal length uncertainty proportional to the Planck length. We construct wave packets in momentum minisuperspace which closely follow classical trajectories and strongly peak on them upon choosing appropriate initial conditions. Moreover, based on the DeWitt criterion, we obtain wave packets that exhibit singularity-free behavior.
