We study the pointwise multiplier property of the characteristic function of the half-space on weighted mixed-norm anisotropic vector-valued function spaces of Bessel potential and Triebel-Lizorkin type.
The main result of this paper is an intersection representation for a class of anisotropic vector-valued function spaces in an axiomatic setting `a la Hedberg$&$Netrusov, which includes weighted anisotropic mixed-norm Besov and Lizorkin-Triebel spaces. In the special case of the classical Lizorkin-Triebel spaces, the intersection representation gives an improvement of the well-known Fubini property. The main result has applications in the weighted $L_{q}$-$L_{p}$-maximal regularity problem for parabolic boundary value problems, where weighted anisotropic mixed-norm Lizorkin-Triebel spaces occur as spaces of boundary data.
This paper deals with a property which is equivalent to generalised-lushness for separable spaces. It thus may be seemed as a geometrical property of a Banach space which ensures the space to have the Mazur-Ulam property. We prove that if a Banach space $X$ enjoys this property if and only if $C(K,X)$ enjoys this property. We also show the same result holds for $L_infty(mu,X)$ and $L_1(mu,X)$.
We prove that for every Banach space $Y$, the Besov spaces of functions from the $n$-dimensional Euclidean space to $Y$ agree with suitable local approximation spaces with equivalent norms. In addition, we prove that the Sobolev spaces of type $q$ are continuously embedded in the Besov spaces of the same type if and only if $Y$ has martingale cotype $q$. We interpret this as an extension of earlier results of Xu (1998), and Martinez, Torrea and Xu (2006). These two results combined give the characterization that $Y$ admits an equivalent norm with modulus of convexity of power type $q$ if and only if weakly differentiable functions have good local approximations with polynomials.
The like-Lebesgue integral of real-valued measurable functions (abbreviated as textit{RVM-MI})is the most complete and appropriate integration Theory. Integrals are also defined in abstract spaces since Pettis (1938). In particular, Bochner integrals received much interest with very recent researches. It is very commode to use the textit{RVM-MI} in constructing Bochner integral in Banach or in locally convex spaces. In this simple not, we prove that the Bochner integral and the textit{RVM-MI} with respect to a finite measure $m$ are the same on $mathbb{R}$. Applications of that equality may be useful in weak limits on Banach space.
The classical theorems of Banach and Stone, Gelfand and Kolmogorov, and Kaplansky show that a compact Hausdorff space $X$ is uniquely determined by the linear isometric structure, the algebraic structure, and the lattice structure, respectively, of the space $C(X)$. In this paper, it is shown that for rather general subspaces $A(X)$ and $A(Y)$ of $C(X)$ and $C(Y)$ respectively, any linear bijection $T: A(X) to A(Y)$ such that $f geq 0$ if and only if $Tf geq 0$ gives rise to a homeomorphism $h: X to Y$ with which $T$ can be represented as a weighted composition operator. The three classical results mentioned above can be derived as corollaries. Generalizations to noncompact spaces and other function spaces such as spaces of uniformly continuous functions, Lipschitz functions and differentiable functions are presented.
