We present CCD $UBVI$ photometric study of poorly studied intermediate age open cluster SAI 35 (Juchert 20) for the first time. To accomplish this study, we also used LAMOST DR5, 2MASS, and Gaia EDR3 databases. We identified 214 most probable cluster members with membership probability higher than 50%. The mean proper motion of the cluster is found as mu_{alpha}cosdelta=1.10 pm 0.01 and mu_{delta}=-1.66 pm 0.01 mas/yr. We find the normal interstellar extinction law using the various two-color diagrams. The age, distance, reddening, and radial velocity of the cluster are estimated to be 360 pm 40 Myr, 2.9 pm 0.15 kpc, 0.72 pm 0.05 mag and -91.62 pm 6.39 km/sec. The overall mass function slope for main-sequence stars is found to be 1.49pm0.16 within the mass range 1.1-3.1 M_odot, which is in agreement with Salpeters value within uncertainty. The present study demonstrates that SAI 35 is a dynamically relaxed. Galactic orbital parameters are determined using Galactic potential models. We found that this object follows a circular path around the Galactic center.

We present a detailed photometric and kinematical analysis of poorly studied open cluster IC 1434 using CCD VRI, APASS, and Gaia DR2 database for the first time. BY determining the membership probability of stars, we identified the 238 most probable members with a probability higher than 60% by using proper motion and parallax data as taken from the Gaia DR2 catalog. The mean proper motion of the cluster is obtained as emu_x= - 3.89 +/- 0.19 and emu_y= - 3.34 +/- 0.19 mas/yr in both the directions of right ascension and declination. The radial distribution of member stars provides cluster extent as 7.6 arcmin. We have estimated the interstellar reddening (E(B-V)) as 0.34 mag using the transformation equations from literature. We obtained the values of cluster age and distance are 631 +/- 73 Myr and 3.2 +/- 0.1 Kpc.
In this paper, we present astrophysical parameters of the open cluster King 13 based on the VI CCD and 2MASS JHKs photometric data. This is a poorly studied cluster, for which new results have been found in the present work. To identify probable members, we use proper motion data from Gaia DR2 catalogue. The mean proper motion of the cluster is determined as -2.8 pm 0.2 and -0.88 pm 0.14 mas yr{-1} and cluster extent is derived as 3.2. Using color-magnitude diagrams, we estimate the age and distance of the cluster as 510 pm 60 Myr and 3.84 pm 0.15 kpc respectively. Interstellar reddening E(B-V) in the direction of the cluster is determined as 0.80 pm 0.2 mag using color-color diagram. Mass function slope of the cluster is found to be comparable with the Salpeter value. The total mass of this cluster is derived as 270 M_{odot}. The present analysis shows that King 13 is a dynamically relaxed cluster.
The membership determination for open clusters in noisy environments of the Milky Way is still an open problem. In this paper, our main aim is provide the membership probability of stars using proper motions and parallax values of stars using Gaia EDR3 astrometry. Apart from the Gaia astrometry, we have also used other photometric data sets like UKIDSS, WISE, APASS and Pan-STARRS1 in order to understand cluster properties from optical to mid-infrared regions. We selected 438 likely members with membership probability higher than $50%$ and G$le$20 mag. We obtained the mean value of proper motion as $mu_{x}=1.27pm0.001$ and $mu_{y}=-0.73pm0.002$ mas yr$^{-1}$. The clusters radius is determined as 7.5 arcmin (5.67 pc) using radial density profile. Our analysis suggests that NGC 1348 is located at a distance of $2.6pm0.05$ kpc. The mass function slope is found to be $1.30pm0.18$ in the mass range 1.0$-$4.1 $M_odot$, which is in fair agreement with Salpeters value within the 1$sigma$ uncertainty. The present study validates that NGC 1348 is a dynamically relaxed cluster. We computed the apex coordinates $(A, D)$ for NGC 1348 as $(A_circ, D_circ)$ = $(-23^{textrm{o}}.815pm 0^{textrm{o}}.135$, $-22^{textrm{o}}.228pm 0^{textrm{o}}.105)$. In addition, calculations of the velocity ellipsoid parameters (VEPs), matrix elements $mu_{ij}$, direction cosines ($l_j$, $m_j$, $n_j$) and the Galactic longitude of the vertex have been also conducted in this analysis.
We present a study of six open clusters (Berkeley 67, King 2, NGC 2420, NGC 2477, NGC 2682 and NGC 6940) using the Ultra Violet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) aboard textit{ASTROSAT} and textit{Gaia} EDR3. We used combinations of astrometric, photometric and systematic parameters to train and supervise a machine learning algorithm along with a Gaussian mixture model for the determination of cluster membership. This technique is robust, reproducible and versatile in various cluster environments. In this study, the textit{Gaia} EDR3 membership catalogues are provided along with classification of the stars as texttt{members, candidates} and texttt{field} in the six clusters. We could detect 200--2500 additional members using our method with respect to previous studies, which helped estimate mean space velocities, distances, number of members and core radii. UVIT photometric catalogues, which include blue stragglers, main-sequence and red giants are also provided. From UV--Optical colour-magnitude diagrams, we found that majority of the sources in NGC 2682 and a few in NGC 2420, NGC 2477 and NGC 6940 showed excess UV flux. NGC 2682 images have ten white dwarf detection in far-UV. The far-UV and near-UV images of the massive cluster NGC 2477 have 92 and 576 texttt{members} respectively, which will be useful to study the UV properties of stars in the extended turn-off and in various evolutionary stages from main-sequence to red clump. Future studies will carry out panchromatic and spectroscopic analysis of noteworthy members detected in this study.
We present polarimetric observations in the UBVRI bands of 72 stars located in the direction of the medium age open cluster NGC 5617. Our intention is to use polarimetry as a tool membership identification, by building on previous investigations intended mainly to determine the clusters general characteristics rather than provide membership suitable for studies such as stellar content and metallicity, as well as study the characteristics of the dust lying between the Sun and the cluster. The obsevations were carried out using the five-channel photopolarimeter of the Torino Astronomical Observatory attached to the 2.15m telescope at the Complejo Astronomico El Leoncito (CASLEO; Argentina. We are able to add 32 stars to the list of members of NGC 5617, and review the situation for others listed in the literature. In particular, we find that five blue straggler stars in the region of the cluster are located behind the same dust as the member stars are and we confirm the membership of two red giants. The proposed polarimetric memberships are compared with those derived by photometric and kinematical methods, with excellent results. Among the observed stars, we identify 10 with intrinsic polarization in their light. NGC 5617 can be polarimetrically characterized with $P_{max}= 4.40%$ and $ theta_{v}= 73^circ.1$. The spread in polarization values for the stars observed in the direction of the cluster seems to be caused by the uneven distribution of dust in front of the clusters face. Finally, we find that in the direction of the cluster, the interstellar medium is apparently free of dust, from the Suns position up to the Carina-Sagittarius arm, where NGC 5617 seems to be located at its farthest border.
