Using topological string techniques, we compute BPS counting functions of 5d gauge theories which descend from 6d superconformal field theories upon circle compactification. Such theories are naturally organized in terms of nodes of Higgsing trees. We demonstrate that the specialization of the partition function as we move from the crown to the root of a tree is determined by homomorphisms between rings of Weyl invariant Jacobi forms. Our computations are made feasible by the fact that symmetry enhancements of the gauge theory which are manifest on the massless spectrum are inherited by the entire tower of BPS particles. In some cases, these symmetry enhancements have a nice relation to the 1-form symmetry of the associated gauge theory.

For any non-negative integer v we construct explicitly [v/2]+1 independent covariant bilinear differential operators from J_{k,m} x J_{k,m} to J_{k+k+v,m+m}. As an application we construct a covariant bilinear differential operator mapping S_k^{(2)} x S^{(2)}_{k} to S^{(2)}_{k+k+v}. Here J_{k,m} denotes the space of Jacobi forms of weight k and index m and S^{(2)}_k the space of Siegel modular forms of degree 2 and weight k. The covariant bilinear differential operators constructed are analogous to operators already studied in the elliptic case by R. Rankin and H. Cohen and we call them Rankin-Cohen operators.
In this paper we provide a formula for the canonical differential form of the hypersimplex $Delta_{k,n}$ for all $n$ and $k$. We also study the generalization of the momentum amplituhedron $mathcal{M}_{n,k}$ to $m=2$, and we conclude that the existing definition does not possess the desired properties. Nevertheless, we find interesting momentum amplituhedron-like logarithmic differential forms in the $m=2$ version of the spinor helicity space, that have the same singularity structure as the hypersimplex canonical forms.
Recent years have seen a surprising connection between the physics of scattering amplitudes and a class of mathematical objects--the positive Grassmannian, positive loop Grassmannians, tree and loop Amplituhedra--which have been loosely referred to as positive geometries. The connection between the geometry and physics is provided by a unique differential form canonically determined by the property of having logarithmic singularities (only) on all the boundaries of the space, with residues on each boundary given by the canonical form on that boundary. In this paper we initiate an exploration of positive geometries and canonical forms as objects of study in their own right in a more general mathematical setting. We give a precise definition of positive geometries and canonical forms, introduce general methods for finding forms for more complicated positive geometries from simpler ones, and present numerous examples of positive geometries in projective spaces, Grassmannians, and toric, cluster and flag varieties. We also illustrate a number of strategies for computing canonical forms which yield interesting representations for the forms associated with wide classes of positive geometries, ranging from the simplest Amplituhedra to new expressions for the volume of arbitrary convex polytopes.

Eichler and Zagier developed a theory of Jacobi forms to understand and extend Maass work on the Saito-Kurokawa conjecture. Later Skoruppa introduced skew-holomorphic Jacobi forms, which play an important role in understanding liftings of modular forms and Jacobi forms. In this paper, we explain a relation between holomorphic Jacobi forms and skew-holomorphic Jacobi forms in terms of a group cohomology. More precisely, we introduce an isomorphism from the direct sum of the space of Jacobi cusp forms on $Gamma^J$ and the space of skew-holomorphic Jacobi cusp forms on $Gamma^J$ with the same half-integral weight to the Eichler cohomology group of $Gamma^J$ with a coefficient module coming from polynomials.
We show that certain BPS counting functions for both fundamental strings and strings arising from fivebranes wrapping divisors in Calabi--Yau threefolds naturally give rise to skew-holomorphic Jacobi forms at rational and attractor points in the moduli space of string compactifications. For M5-branes wrapping divisors these are forms of weight negative one, and in the case of multiple M5-branes skew-holomorphic mock Jacobi forms arise. We further find that in simple examples these forms are related to skew-holomorphic (mock) Jacobi forms of weight two that play starring roles in moonshine. We discuss examples involving M5-branes on the complex projective plane, del Pezzo surfaces of degree one, and half-K3 surfaces. For del Pezzo surfaces of degree one and certain half-K3 surfaces we find a corresponding graded (virtual) module for the degree twelve Mathieu group. This suggests a more extensive relationship between Mathieu groups and complex surfaces, and a broader role for M5-branes in the theory of Jacobi forms and moonshine.
