We use localization to compute the partition function of a four dimensional, supersymmetric, abelian gauge theory on a hemisphere coupled to charged matter on the boundary. Our theory has eight real supercharges in the bulk of which four are broken by the presence of the boundary. The main result is that the partition function is identical to that of ${mathcal N}=2$ abelian Chern-Simons theory on a three-sphere coupled to chiral multiplets, but where the quantized Chern-Simons level is replaced by an arbitrary complexified gauge coupling $tau$. The localization reduces the path integral to a single ordinary integral over a real variable. This integral in turn allows us to calculate the scaling dimensions of certain protected operators and two-point functions of abelian symmetry currents at arbitrary values of $tau$. Because the underlying theory has conformal symmetry, the current two-point functions tell us the zero temperature conductivity of the Lorentzi

We use the techniques of supersymmetric localization to compute the BPS black hole entropy in N=2 supergravity. We focus on the n_v+1 vector multiplets on the black hole near horizon background which is AdS_2 x S^2 space. We find the localizing saddle point of the vector multiplets by solving the localization equations, and compute the exact one loop partition function on the saddle point. Furthermore, we propose the appropriate functional integration measure. Through this measure, the one loop determinant is written in terms of the radius of the physical metric, which depends on the localizing saddle point value of the vector multiplets. The result for the one loop determinant is consistent with the logarithmic corrections to the BPS black hole entropy from vector multiplets.
The macroscopic entropy and the attractor equations for BPS black holes in four-dimensional N=2 supergravity theories follow from a variational principle for a certain `entropy function. We present this function in the presence of R^2-interactions and non-holomorphic corrections. The variational principle identifies the entropy as a Legendre transform and this motivates the definition of various partition functions corresponding to different ensembles and a hierarchy of corresponding duality invariant inverse Laplace integral representations for the microscopic degeneracies. Whenever the microscopic degeneracies are known the partition functions can be evaluated directly. This is the case for N=4 heterotic CHL black holes, where we demonstrate that the partition functions are consistent with the results obtained on the macroscopic side for black holes that have a non-vanishing classical area. In this way we confirm the presence of a measure in the duality invariant inverse Laplace integrals. Most, but not all, of these results are obtained in the context of semiclassical approximations. For black holes whose area vanishes classically, there remain discrepancies at the semiclassical level and beyond, the nature of which is not fully understood at present.

In supersymmetric (SUSY) field theory, there exist configurations which formally satisfy SUSY conditions but are not on original path integral contour. We refer to such configurations as complexified supersymmetric solutions (CSS). In this paper we discuss that CSS provide important information on large order behavior of weak coupling perturbative series in SUSY field theories. We conjecture that CSS with a bosonic (fermionic) free parameter give poles (zeroes) of Borel transformation of perturbative series whose locations are uniquely determined by actions of the solutions. We demonstrate this for various SUSY observables in 3d $mathcal{N}=2$ SUSY Chern-Simons matter theories on sphere. First we construct infinite number of CSS in general 3d $mathcal{N}=2$ SUSY theory with Lagrangian where adjoint scalar in vector multiplet takes a complex value and matter fields are nontrivial. Then we compare their actions with Borel transformations of perturbative expansions by inverse Chern-Simons levels for the observables and see agreement with our conjecture. It turns out that the CSS explain all the Borel singularities for this case.

We study $mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric three-dimensional Quantum Electrodynamics with $N_f$ two-component fermions. Due to the infra-red (IR) softening of the photon, $ep$-scalar and photino propagators, the theory flows to an interacting fixed point deep in the IR, $p_E ll e^2 N_f/8$, where $p_E$ is the euclidean momentum and $e$ the electric charge. At next-to-leading order in the $1/N_f$-expansion, we find that the flow of the dimensionless effective coupling constant $overline{al}$ is such that: $overline{al} ra 8/big(N_f ,(1+C/N_f)big) approx (8/N_f)(1-0.4317/N_f)$ where $C= 2,(12-pi^2)/pi^2$. Hence, the non-trivial IR fixed point is stable with respect to quantum corrections. Various properties of the theory are explored and related via a mapping to the ones of a $mathcal{N}=1$ model of super-graphene. In particular, we derive the interaction correction coefficient to the optical conductivity of super-graphene, $C_{rm sg} = (12-pi^2)/(2pi) = 0.3391$, which is six times larger than in the non-supersymmetric case, $C_{rm g} = (92-9pi^2)/(18pi) = 0.0561$.
We study three-dimensional $mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric gauge theories on $mathcal{M}_{g,p}$, an oriented circle bundle of degree $p$ over a closed Riemann surface, $Sigma_g$. We compute the $mathcal{M}_{g,p}$ supersymmetric partition function and correlation functions of supersymmetric loop operators. This uncovers interesting relations between observables on manifolds of different topologies. In particular, the familiar supersymmetric partition function on the round $S^3$ can be understood as the expectation value of a so-called fibering operator on $S^2 times S^1$ with a topological twist. More generally, we show that the 3d $mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric partition functions (and supersymmetric Wilson loop correlation functions) on $mathcal{M}_{g,p}$ are fully determined by the two-dimensional A-twisted topological field theory obtained by compactifying the 3d theory on a circle. We give two complementary derivations of the result. We also discuss applications to F-maximization and to three-dimensional supersymmetric dualities.
