In the present paper, we are aiming to study limiting behavior of infinite dimensional Volterra operators. We introduce two classes $tilde {mathcal{V}}^+$ and $tilde{mathcal{V}}^-$of infinite dimensional Volterra operators. For operators taken from the introduced classes we study their omega limiting sets $omega_V$ and $omega_V^{(w)}$ with respect to $ell^1$-norm and pointwise convergence, respectively. To investigate the relations between these limiting sets, we study linear Lyapunov functions for such kind of Volterra operators. It is proven that if Volterra operator belongs to $tilde {mathcal{V}}^+$, then the sets and $omega_V^{(w)}(xb)$ coincide for every $xbin S$, and moreover, they are non empty. If Volterra operator belongs to $tilde {mathcal{V}}^-$, then $omega_V(xb)$ could be empty, and it implies the non-ergodicity (w.r.t $ell^1$-norm) of $V$, while it is weak ergodic.

Let $mathcal{R}$ be a strongly compact $C^2$ map defined in an open subset of an infinite-dimensional Banach space such that the image of its derivative $D_F mathcal{R}$ is dense for every $F$. Let $Omega$ be a compact, forward invariant and partially hyperbolic set of $mathcal{R}$ such that $mathcal{R}colon Omegarightarrow Omega$ is onto. The $delta$-shadow $W^s_delta(Omega)$ of $Omega$ is the union of the sets $$W^s_delta(G)= {Fcolon dist(mathcal{R}^iF, mathcal{R}^iG) leq delta, for every igeq 0 },$$ where $G in Omega$. Suppose that $W^s_delta(Omega)$ has transversal empty interior, that is, for every $C^{1+Lip}$ $n$-dimensional manifold $M$ transversal to the distribution of dominated directions of $Omega$ and sufficiently close to $W^s_delta(Omega)$ we have that $Mcap W^s_delta(Omega)$ has empty interior in $M$. Here $n$ is the finite dimension of the strong unstable direction. We show that if $delta$ is small enough then $$cup_{igeq 0}mathcal{R}^{-i}W^s_{delta} (Omega)$$ intercepts a $C^k$-generic finite dimensional curve inside the Banach space in a set of parameters with zero Lebesgue measure, for every $kgeq 0$. This extends to infinite-dimensional dynamical systems previous studies on the Lebesgue measure of stable laminations of invariants sets.
A locally convex space (lcs) $E$ is said to have an $omega^{omega}$-base if $E$ has a neighborhood base ${U_{alpha}:alphainomega^omega}$ at zero such that $U_{beta}subseteq U_{alpha}$ for all $alphaleqbeta$. The class of lcs with an $omega^{omega}$-base is large, among others contains all $(LM)$-spaces (hence $(LF)$-spaces), strong duals of distinguished Frechet lcs (hence spaces of distributions $D(Omega)$). A remarkable result of Cascales-Orihuela states that every compact set in a lcs with an $omega^{omega}$-base is metrizable. Our main result shows that every uncountable-dimensional lcs with an $omega^{omega}$-base contains an infinite-dimensional metrizable compact subset. On the other hand, the countable-dimensional space $varphi$ endowed with the finest locally convex topology has an $omega^omega$-base but contains no infinite-dimensional compact subsets. It turns out that $varphi$ is a unique infinite-dimensional locally convex space which is a $k_{mathbb{R}}$-space containing no infinite-dimensional compact subsets. Applications to spaces $C_{p}(X)$ are provided.
Volterra integral operators with non-sign-definite degenerate kernels $A(x,t)= sum_{k=0}^n A_k(x,t)$, $A_k(x,t)= a_k (x) t^k$, are studied acting from one weighted $L_2$ space on $(0,+infty)$ to another. Imposing an integral doubling condition on one of the weights, it is shown that the operator with the kernel $A(x,t)$ is bounded if and only $n+1$ operators with kernels $A_k(x,t)$ are all bounded. We apply this result to describe spaces of pointwise multipliers in weighted Sobolev spaces on $(0,+infty)$.
We establish that the Volterra-type integral operator $J_b$ on the Hardy spaces $H^p$ of the unit ball $mathbb{B}_n$ exhibits a rather strong rigid behavior. More precisely, we show that the compactness, strict singularity and $ell^p$-singularity of $J_b$ are equivalent on $H^p$ for any $1 le p < infty$. Moreover, we show that the operator $J_b$ acting on $H^p$ cannot fix an isomorphic copy of $ell^2$ when $p e 2.$
We completely characterize the boundedness of the Volterra type integration operators $J_b$ acting from the weighted Bergman spaces $A^p_alpha$ to the Hardy spaces $H^q$ of the unit ball of $mathbb{C}^n$ for all $0<p,q<infty$. A partial solution to the case $n=1$ was previously obtained by Z. Wu in cite{Wu}. We solve the cases left open there and extend all the results to the setting of arbitrary complex dimension $n$. Our tools involve area methods from harmonic analysis, Carleson measures and Kahane-Khinchine type inequalities, factorization tricks for tent spaces of sequences, as well as techniques and integral estimates related to Hardy and Bergman spaces.
