The method for evaluation of inclusive electron scattering observables in the resonance region from the experimental data is presented. The computer codes in the web page allow user to evaluate inclusive electron scattering, virtual photon-proton cross sections and the $F_{1}$ and $F_{2}$ structure functions at the invariant masses of the final hadrons 1.0 GeV $<$ W $<$ 4.0 GeV and at photon virtualities 0.5 GeV$^2$ $<$ Q$^2$ $<$ 7.0 GeV$^2$. The developed approach is of interest for analyses of the experimental data on exploration of the hadron structure in the experiments with electromagnetic probes.

Differential cross sections have been extracted from exclusive and kinematically complete high-statistics measurements of quasifree polarized $vec{n}p$ scattering performed in the energy region of the $d^*(2380)$ dibaryon resonance covering the the range of beam energies $T_n$ = 0.98 - 1.29 GeV ($sqrt s$ = 2.32 - 2.44 GeV). The experiment was carried out with the WASA-at-COSY setup having a polarized deuteron beam impinged on the hydrogen pellet target and utilizing the quasifree process $dp to np + p_{spectator}$. That way the $np$ differential cross section $sigma(Theta)$ was measured over a large angular range. The obtained angular distributions complement the corresponding analyzing power $A_y(Theta)$ measurements published previously. A SAID partial-wave analysis incorporating the new data strengthens the finding of a resonance pole in the coupled $^3D_3 - ^3G_3$ waves.
The first CLAS12 experiments will provide high-precision data on inclusive electron scattering observables at a photon virtuality $Q^2$ ranging from 0.05 GeV$^2$ to 12 GeV$^2$ and center-of-mass energies $W$ up to 4 GeV. In view of this endeavour, we present the modeling of the resonant contributions to the inclusive electron scattering observables. As input, we use the existing CLAS electrocoupling results obtained from exclusive meson electroproduction data off protons, and evaluate for the first time the resonant contributions based on the experimental results on the nucleon resonance electroexcitation. The uncertainties are given by the data and duly propagated through a Monte Carlo approach. In this way, we obtain estimates for the resonant contributions, important for insight into the nucleon parton distributions in the resonance region and for the studies of quark-hadron duality.
A study is presented to extend the measurements of photon-photon scattering in ultra-peripheral Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC into the mass region of the pseudoscalar resonances $eta$ and $eta$. The elementary photon-photon scattering cross section is presented. The cross section for photon-photon scattering in Pb-Pb is derived by convoluting the elementary photon-photon cross section with the Pb-Pb photon luminosity. The main background to two-photon final states, arising from double $pi^{0}$ production with two of the four decay photons escaping detection, is examined, and possible kinematical conditions are discussed to optimize the signal-to-background ratio for such measurements at mid-rapidity.
We present a model for electron- and neutrino-scattering off nucleons and nuclei focussing on the quasielastic and resonance region. The lepton-nucleon reaction is described within a relativistic formalism that includes, besides quasielastic scattering, the excitation of 13 N* and Delta resonances and a non-resonant single-pion background. Recent electron-scattering data is used for the state-of-the-art parametrizations of the vector form factors; the axial couplings are determined via PCAC and, in the case of the Delta resonance, the axial form factor is refitted using neutrino-scattering data. Scattering off nuclei is treated within the GiBUU framework that takes into account various nuclear effects: the local density approximation for the nuclear ground state, mean-field potentials and in-medium spectral functions. Results for inclusive scattering off Oxygen are presented and, in the case of electron-induced reactions, compared to experimental data and other models.
Multiplicities in semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering are presented for each charge state of pi^pm and K^pm mesons. The data were collected by the HERMES experiment at the HERA storage ring using 27.6 GeV electron and positron beams incident on a hydrogen or deuterium gas target. The results are presented as a function of the kinematic quantities x_B, Q^2, z, and P_hperp. They represent a unique data set for identified hadrons that will significantly enhance our understanding of the fragmentation of quarks into final-state hadrons in deep-inelastic scattering.
