We investigate the Cabbibo-Ferrari, two potential approach to magnetic charge coupled to two different complex scalar fields, $Phi_1$ and $Phi_2$, each having different electric and magnetic charges. The scalar field, $Phi_1$, is assumed to have a spontaneous symmetry breaking self interaction potential which gives a mass to the magnetic gauge potential and magnetic photon, while the other electric gauge potential and electric photon remain massless. The magnetic photon is hidden until one reaches energies of the order of the magnetic photon rest mass. The second scalar field, $Phi _2$, is required in order to make the theory non-trivial. With only one field one can always use a duality rotation to rotate away either the electric or magnetic charge, and thus decouple either the associated electric or magnetic photon. In analyzing this system of two scalar fields in the Cabbibo-Ferrari approach we perform several duality and gauge transformations, which require introducing non-Dirac conditions on the initial electric and magnetic charges. We also find that due to the symmetry breaking the usual Dirac condition is altered to include the mass of the magnetic photon. We discuss the implications of these various conditions on the charges.

We discuss the structure of the Dirac equation and how the nilpotent and the Majorana operators arise naturally in this context. This provides a link between Kauffmans work on discrete physics, iterants and Majorana Fermions and the work on nilpotent structures and the Dirac equation of Peter Rowlands. We give an expression in split quaternions for the Majorana Dirac equation in one dimension of time and three dimensions of space. Majorana discovered a version of the Dirac equation that can be expressed entirely over the real numbers. This led him to speculate that the solutions to his version of the Dirac equation would correspond to particles that are their own anti-particles. It is the purpose of this paper to examine the structure of this Majorana-Dirac Equation, and to find basic solutions to it by using the nilpotent technique. We succeed in this aim and describe our results.

By constructing the commutative operators chain, we derive the integrable conditions for solving the eigenfunctions of Dirac equation and Schrodinger equation. These commutative relations correspond to the intrinsic symmetry of the physical system, which are equivalent to the original partial differential equation can be solved by separation of variables. Detailed calculation shows that, only a few cases can be completely solved by separation of variables. In general cases, we have to solve the Dirac equation and Schrodinger equation by effective perturbation or approximation methods, especially in the cases including nonlinear potential or self interactive potentials.
Following Diracs brane variation prescription, the brane must not be deformed during the variation process, or else the linearity of the variation may be lost. Alternatively, the variation of the brane is done, in a special Dirac frame, by varying the bulk coordinate system itself. Imposing appropriate Dirac style boundary conditions on the constrained sandwiched gravitational action, we show how Israel junction conditions get relaxed, but remarkably, all solutions of the original Israel equations are still respected. The Israel junction conditions are traded, in the $Z_2$-symmetric case, for a generalized Regge-Teitelboim type equation (plus a local conservation law), and in the generic $Z_2$-asymmetric case, for a pair of coupled Regge-Teitelboim equations. The Randall-Sundrum model and its derivatives, such as the Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati and the Collins-Holdom models, get generalized accordingly. Furthermore, Randall-Sundrum and Regge-Teitelboim brane theories appear now to be two different faces of the one and the same unified brane theory. Within the framework of unified brane cosmology, we examine the dark matter/energy interpretation of the effective energy/momentum deviations from General Relativity.
We revisit the chiral anomaly in the quantum kinetic theory in the Wigner function formalism under the background field approximation. Our results show that the chiral anomaly is actually from the Dirac sea or the vacuum contribution in the un-normal-ordered Wigner function. We also demonstrate that this contribution modifies the chiral kinetic equation for antiparticles.

The wave equation generalizing the Dirac operator to the Z3-graded case is introduced, whose diagonalization leads to a sixth-order equation. It intertwines not only quark and anti-quark state as well as the u and d quarks, but also the three colors, and is therefore invariant under the product group Z2 x Z2 x Z3. The solutions of this equation cannot propagate because their exponents always contain non-oscillating real damping factor. We show how certain cubic products can propagate nevertheless. The model suggests the origin of the color SU(3) symmetry and of the SU(2) x U(1) that arise automatically in this model, leading to the full bosonic gauge sector of the Standard Model.
