The self-consistent approach based on similarity of inclusive spectra of hadrons produced in $pp$ and $AA$ collisions is reviewed. This approach allows us to describe rather well the ratio of proton to anti-proton yields in $AA$ collisions as a function of the initial energy at a wide range from a few GeV to a few TeV. We suggest its modification due to the quark-gluon dynamics to describe the inclusive spectra of hadrons produced in $pp$ collision as a function of the transverse momentum $p_t$ at mid-rapidity. The extension of this approach to analyze the pion $p_t$-spectra produced in $AA$ collision at high and middle energies and mid-rapidity is given. The satisfactory description of experimental data on these spectra in $pp$ and $AA$ collisions within the offered approach is shown.

Recent measurements of various charm-hadron ratios in $pp$, $p$-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC have posed challenges to the theoretical understanding of heavy-quark hadronization. The $Lambda_c/D^0$ ratio in $pp$ and $p$-Pb collisions shows larger values than those found in $e^+e^-$ and $ep$ collisions and predicted by Monte-Carlo event generators based on string fragmentation, at both low and intermediate transverse momenta ($p_T$). In AA collisions, the $D_s/D$ ratio is significantly enhanced over its values in $pp$, while the $Lambda_c/D^0$ data indicates a further enhancement at intermediate $p_T$. Here, we report on our recent developments for a comprehensive description of the charm hadrochemistry and transport in $pp$ and $AA$ collisions. For $pp$ collisions we find that the discrepancy between the $Lambda_c/D^0$ data and model predictions is much reduced by using a statistical hadronization model augmented by a large set of missing states in the charm-baryon spectrum, contributing to the $Lambda_c$ via decay feeddown. For $AA$ collisions, we develop a 4-momentum conserving resonance recombination model for charm-baryon formation implemented via event-by-event simulations that account for space-momentum correlations (SMCs) in transported charm- and thermal light-quark distributions. The SMCs, together with the augmented charm-baryon states, are found to play an important role in describing the baryon-to-meson enhancement at intermediate momenta. We emphasize the importance of satisfying the correct (relative) chemical equilibrium limit when computing the charm hadrochemistry and its momentum dependence with coalescence models.
The calculation of inclusive spectra of pions produced in $pp$ and $AA$ collisions as a function of rapidity $y$ is presented within the self-similarity approach. It is shown that at not large rapidities $y$ one can obtain the analytical form of the self-similarity function $Pi(y,p_t)$ dependent of $y$ and hadron transverse momentum $p_t$. A satisfactory description of data on the rapidity spectra at $|y|leq$ 0.3 is illustrated within a good agreement. The universal energy dependence of these spectra is also shown.
New experimental data on transverse momentum spectra of strange particles (KS0, K-, K*, phi,...) produced in pp collisions at sqrt s = 200 GeV obtained by the STAR and PHENIX collaborations at RHIC are analysed in the framework of z-scaling approach. Scaling properties of the data z-presentation are illustrated. Self-similarity of strange particle production is discussed. A microscopic scenario of constituent interactions developed within the z-scaling approach is used to study constituent energy loss, proton momentum fraction and recoil mass in dependence on the transverse momentum, strangeness, and mass of the inclusive particle. The obtained results can be useful for understanding strangeness origin, for searching for new physics with strange probes and can serve as a benchmark for complex analyses of self-similar features of strange production in heavy ion collisions.
Hadron inclusive spectra in pp collisions are analyzed within the modified quark-gluon string model including both the longitudinal and transverse motion of quarks in the proton in the wide region of initial energies. The self-consistent analysis shows that the experimental data on the inclusive spectra of light hadrons like pions and kaons at ISR energies can be satisfactorily described at transverse momenta not larger than 1-2 GeV/c. We discuss some difficulties to apply this model at energies above the ISR and suggest to include the distribution of gluons in the proton unintegrated over the internal transverse momentum. It leads to an increase in the inclusive spectra of hadrons and allows us to extend the satisfactory description of the data in the central rapidity region at energies higher than ISR.

We have developed a Monte Carlo event generator for non-resonant diphoton ($gammagamma$) production at hadron collisions in the framework of GR@PPA, which consistently includes processes having additional one jet radiation. The possible double count problem in the generation of radiative processes is avoided by using the LLL subtraction method that we have applied to the weak-boson production processes. The subtraction method has been extended to the final-state QED divergence that appears in the $qg rightarrow gammagamma + q$ process. Because a parton shower (PS) which regularizes the subtracted QED divergence is still under development, we tried to use PYTHIA for the generation of the fragmentation events to restore the subtracted components. The simulation employing the old PS of PYTHIA shows a reasonable matching with the GR@PPA events, and the combined event sample shows a result in reasonable agreement with ResBos. We found that the contribution from $qg rightarrow gammagamma + q$ is significant in the LHC condition. This event generator must be useful for the background studies in low-mass Higgs boson searches at LHC.
