The diphoton invariant mass distribution of interference between $ggto H to gammagamma$ and $ggto gammagamma$ is almost antisymmetric around the Higgs mass $M_H$. We propose a new observable $A_{text{int}}$ to quantify this effect, which is a ratio of a sign-reversed integral around $M_H$ ( e.g. $int^{M_H}_{M_H-5~mbox{GeV}} -int_{M_H}^{M_H+5~mbox{GeV}}$) and the cross section of the Higgs signal. We study $A_{text{int}}$ both in Standard Model (SM) and new physics with various $CP$-violating $Hgammagamma$ couplings. The $A_{text{int}}$ in SM could reach a value of $10%$, while for $CP$-violating $Hgammagamma$ couplings $A_{text{int}}$ could range from $10%$ to $-10%$, which is probable to be detected in HL-LHC experiment. The $A_{text{int}}$ with both $CP$-violating $Hgammagamma$ and $Hgg$ couplings are also studied and its value range is further extended.

While the axion was originally introduced to wash out CP violation from strong interactions, new sources of CP violation beyond QCD might manifest themselves via a tiny scalar axion-nucleon component. The latter can be experimentally probed in axion-mediated force experiments, as suggested long ago by J.E. Moody and F. Wilczek. In the present note, I review the physical origin of CP-violating axion couplings and point out the special role of the QCD axion as a low-energy portal to high-energy sources of CP violation.
We study the effect of explicit CP violation in the Higgs sectors of the MSSM in the di-photon decay of the lightest CP-mixed Higgs state. Further it is shown that the gluon fusion production mechanism along with the di-photon decay enhances CP-violating effects for a large set of suitably chosen parameter values.
We investigate the sensitivity of the next generation of flavor-based low-energy experiments to probe the supersymmetric parameter space in the context of the phenomenological MSSM (pMSSM), and examine the complementarity with direct searches for Supersymmetry at the 13 TeV LHC in a quantitative manner. To this end, we enlarge the previously studied pMSSM parameter space to include all physical non-zero CP-violating phases, namely those associated with the gaugino mass parameters, Higgsino mass parameter, and the tri-linear couplings of the top quark, bottom quark and tau lepton. We find that future electric dipole moment and flavor measurements can have a strong impact on the viability of these models even if the sparticle spectrum is out of reach of the 13 TeV LHC. In particular, the lack of positive signals in future low-energy probes would exclude values of the phases between ${cal O}(10^{-2})$ and ${cal O}(10^{-1})$. We also find regions of parameter space where large phases remain allowed due to cancellations. Most interestingly, in some rare processes, such as BR($B_s to mu^+ mu^-$ ), we find that contributions arising from CP-violating phases can bring the potentially large SUSY contributions into better agreement with experiment and Standard Model predictions.
We study how effects of the CP violation can be observed indirectly by precision measurements of Higgs boson couplings at a future Higgs factory such as the international linear collider. We consider two Higgs doublet models with the softly broken discrete symmetry. We find that by measuring the Higgs boson couplings very precisely we are able to distinguish the two Higgs doublet model with CP violation from the CP conserving one.

We suggest that the forward-backward asymmetry $(A_{FB})$ of the charged leptons in $ggto Htogamma Ztogamma ell^-ell^+$ process could be used to probe the CP violating $Hgamma Z$ coupling when the interference from $ggtogamma Ztogamma ell^-ell^+$ process is included. With CP violation in $Hgamma Z$ coupling, the interference effect leads to a non-vanishing $A_{FB}$, which is also sensitive to the strong phase differences. The resonant and non-resonant strong phases together make $A_{FB}(hat{s})$ change sign around Higgs mass $M_H$. For phenomenology study, we suggest the integral over one-side mass region below $M_H$ to magnify the $A_{FB}$ strength.
