We show that in a holomorphic family of compact complex connected manifolds parametrized by an irreducible complex space $S$, assuming that on a dense Zariski open set $S^{*}$ in $S$ the fibres satisfy the $partialbarpartial-$lemma, the algebraic dimension of each fibre in this family is at least equal to the minimal algebraic dimension of the fibres in $S^{*}$. For instance, if each fibre in $S^{*}$ are Moishezon, then all fibres are Moishezon.
In this paper we study the compactness of operators on the Bergman space of the unit ball and on very generally weighted Bargmann-Fock spaces in terms of the behavior of their Berezin transforms and the norms of the operators acting on reproducing kernels. In particular, in the Bergman space setting we show how a vanishing Berezin transform combined with certain (integral) growth conditions on an operator $T$ are sufficient to imply that the operator is compact. In the weighted Bargmann-Fock space setting we show that the reproducing kernel thesis for compactness holds for operators satisfying similar growth conditions. The main results extend the results of Xia and Zheng to the case of the Bergman space when $1 < p < infty$, and in the weighted Bargmann-Fock space setting, our results provide new, more general conditions that imply the work of Xia and Zheng via a more familiar approach that can also handle the $1 < p < infty$ case.
We present an example showing that a family of Riemann surfaces obtained by a general plumbing construction does not necessarily give local coordinates on the Teichmueller space.
We define the principal divisor of a free noncommuatative function. We use these divisors to compare the determinantal singularity sets of free noncommutative functions. We show that the divisor of a noncommutative rational function is the difference of two polynomial divisors. We formulate a nontrivial theory of cohomology, fundamental groups and covering spaces for tracial free functions. We show that the natural fundamental group arising from analytic continuation for tracial free functions is a direct sum of copies of $mathbb{Q}$. Our results contrast the classical case, where the analogous groups may not be abelian, and the free case, where free universal monodromy implies such notions would be trivial.
In previous papers we define certain Lagrangian shadows of ample divisors in algebraic varieties. In the present brief note an existence condition is discussed for these Lagrangian shadows.
We prove an abstract modularity result for classes of Heegner divisors in the generalized Jacobian of a modular curve associated to a cuspidal modulus. Extending the Gross-Kohnen-Zagier theorem, we prove that the generating series of these classes is a weakly holomorphic modular form of weight 3/2. Moreover, we show that any harmonic Maass forms of weight 0 defines a functional on the generalized Jacobian. Combining these results, we obtain a unifying framework and new proofs for the Gross-Kohnen-Zagier theorem and Zagiers modularity of traces of singular moduli, together with new geometric interpretations of the traces with non-positive index.
