For a class of Kirchhoff functional, we first give a complete classification with respect to the exponent $p$ for its $L^2$-normalized critical points, and show that the minimizer of the functional, if exists, is unique up to translations. Secondly, we search for the mountain pass type critical point for the functional on the $L^2$-normalized manifold, and also prove that this type critical point is unique up to translations. Our proof relies only on some simple energy estimates and avoids using the concentration-compactness principles. These conclusions extend some known results in previous papers.

We consider a quasilinear KdV equation that admits compactly supported traveling wave solutions (compactons). This model is one of the most straightforward instances of degenerate dispersion, a phenomenon that appears in a variety of physical settings as diverse as sedimentation, magma dynamics and shallow water waves. We prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions with sufficiently smooth, spatially localized initial data.
We revisit the following nonlinear critical elliptic equation begin{equation*} -Delta u+Q(y)u=u^{frac{N+2}{N-2}},;;; u>0;;;hbox{ in } mathbb{R}^N, end{equation*} where $Ngeq 5.$ Although there are some existence results of bubbling solutions for problem above, there are no results about the periodicity of bubbling solutions. Here we investigate some related problems. Assuming that $Q(y)$ is periodic in $y_1$ with period 1 and has a local minimum at 0 satisfying $Q(0)=0,$ we prove the existence and local uniqueness of infinitely many bubbling solutions of the problem above. This local uniqueness result implies that some bubbling solutions preserve the symmetry of the potential function $Q(y),$ i.e. the bubbling solution whose blow-up set is ${(jL,0,...,0):j=0,1,2,...,m}$ must be periodic in $y_{1}$ provided that $L$ is large enough, where $m$ is the number of the bubbles which is large enough but independent of $L.$ Moreover, we also show a non-existence of this bubbling solutions for the problem above if the local minimum of $Q(y)$ does not equal to zero.

In this paper, we study the existence and asymptotic properties of solutions to the following fractional Kirchhoff equation begin{equation*} left(a+bint_{mathbb{R}^{3}}|(-Delta)^{frac{s}{2}}u|^{2}dxright)(-Delta)^{s}u=lambda u+mu|u|^{q-2}u+|u|^{p-2}u quad hbox{in $mathbb{R}^3$,} end{equation*} with a prescribed mass begin{equation*} int_{mathbb{R}^{3}}|u|^{2}dx=c^{2}, end{equation*} where $sin(0, 1)$, $a, b, c>0$, $2<q<p<2_{s}^{ast}=frac{6}{3-2s}$, $mu>0$ and $lambdainmathbb{R}$ as a Lagrange multiplier. Under different assumptions on $q<p$, $c>0$ and $mu>0$, we prove some existence results about the normalized solutions. Our results extend the results of Luo and Zhang (Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations 59, 1-35, 2020) to the fractional Kirchhoff equations. Moreover, we give some results about the behavior of the normalized solutions obtained above as $murightarrow0^{+}$.
In this paper, we consider the following Kirchhoff type equation $$ -left(a+ bint_{R^3}| abla u|^2right)triangle {u}+V(x)u=f(u),,,xinR^3, $$ where $a,b>0$ and $fin C(R,R)$, and the potential $Vin C^1(R^3,R)$ is positive, bounded and satisfies suitable decay assumptions. By using a new perturbation approach together with a new version of global compactness lemma of Kirchhoff type, we prove the existence and multiplicity of bound state solutions for the above problem with a general nonlinearity. We especially point out that neither the corresponding Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition nor any monotonicity assumption is required for $f$. Moreover, the potential $V$ may not be radially symmetry or coercive. As a prototype, the nonlinear term involves the power-type nonlinearity $f(u) = |u|^{p-2}u$ for $pin (2, 6)$. In particular, our results generalize and improve the results by Li and Ye (J.Differential Equations, 257(2014): 566-600), in the sense that the case $pin(2,3]$ is left open there.
In this paper we establish the orbital stability of standing wave solutions associated to the one-dimensional Schrodinger-Kirchhoff equation. The presence of a mixed term gives us more dispersion, and consequently, a different scenario for the stability of solitary waves in contrast with the corresponding nonlinear Schrodinger equation. For periodic waves, we exhibit two explicit solutions and prove the orbital stability in the energy space.
